I've owned 2 1986 nissan 300zx. This video makes me want to cry and run out to get another one. A true 6 cylinder crotch rocket, at 140 mph it still had some left. Peace from Northern Michigan.

When I was a youth I put a rover 3.5 in a Ford Capri and just drove it like I stole it everywhere, I left home and moved house at about 18, and 2-3 doors down was a guy who had a black 300ZX Turbo, he used to always deliberately overtaken me as soon as we got on the dual carriage way every morning.. so after about 6 months he went to do the same manoeuvre he had been doing for the past 6 months.. little to his knowledge I’d scrimped and saved and twin turbo’d the V8 Capri.. the poor ZX didn’t get a look in lol

Hi, did your 1988 Maxima have the "Electronics Package" with Sonar Suspension option? I believe that option gave you the adjustable suspension capability too, correct? I experienced driving a 1990 Maxima "4DSC" which also had the Sonar Suspension and man that car had such a smooth, supple and beautiful ride. It had an amazing ride! By the way, in this video I notice he was flipping the switch to go through some adjustable suspension settings, I noticed the settings on that switch were "S-N-F". Is that the same as what your '88 Maxima had? I've always loved that generation of Maximas!

It does and with far better ergonomics and superb visibility. My Z31 was the best car I've had in that regard. If a car behind you is blinding you with their headlights, you can lower the side mirrors with two fingers in seconds. Plus headlight washers, heated side mirrors, steering wheel radio controls made of metal. The turbo would squash hills. It was all great stuff.

That is one reason I never remembered the Z31 300ZX when I was younger. The exterior was very similar in design to many other 1980s cars. The Datsun was distinctive, and the 300ZXTT was distinctive.
