The early date makes it safe to say it most likely might be Betamax. Which weirdly enough, actually aged better then VHS, albeit way too late! XD

These are taken from a Network master tape transferred to a digital medium at a much later date. No analog format was used to record these beyond the original master tape.

Our first VCR was a Beta. I don’t know why my dad chose it, but now I can tell people he was under the influence of Dracula. It wouldn’t be until the late 80s that we finally upgraded to VHS.

Magnavox Touch-Tune Color Television-had one of those in my living room growing up It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown-..and the way how things played out,it was also his last 😞 The Fat Albert Halloween Special -this was good.. wouldn't want to have been in Devray's shoes by the conclusion 😆 First Alert Smoke Detector-"A Quinn Martin Production." Sony Betamax-guess he was about to record the latest episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents

1977! Not long before I entered the world! With the VHS vs Beta wars and those alarm clocks that served as recording timers! Dracula did lose out big time because that one guy was controlling everything (I originally said the Zenith was a VHS deck but it was also a Beta VCR!)

0:30, 2:31, and 4:31--State-of-the-art technology from 1977 that seems so dated in 2023. Incidentally, this was about the time when my parents bought our first color TV set, and it was a Zenith. 3:10--One of the more obscure Charlie Brown specials. This one is on the "Peanuts 1970's Collection Vol. 2" DVD set, which I own. 4:01--Our first smoke detector sounded like this, as opposed to the high-pitched beeping sound that most of the new ones make. 6:02--That Meow Mix jingle is a classic. Interestingly, Meow Mix is still around but no longer made by Purina (although Purina does still make Cat Chow).
