These commercials aired on CBS on December 14th, 1990
1. Nestle's Toll House Morsels
2. Polaroid
3. Stetson
4. Plax
5. "The Young And The Restless" Commercial Bumper (These aired during the day on 12/14/90)
6. Promo for "Murder She Wrote" and "Sinatra 75: The Best Is Yet to Come"
7. Promo for "A Current Affair"
8. Kraft 100% Natural Cheese
9. WJBK Eyewitness News Bumper
10. "The Young And The Restless" Commercial Bumper
11. Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crusts (3:30 Call me uncultured but I can't hear Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 without thinking of the dueling pianos scene in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit")
12. Hidden Valley Honey Dijon Ranch Dressing (With the voice of Sally Kellerman)
13. Sears Fine Jewelry Sale
14. Wheat Thins (With Sandy Duncan)
15. Hallmark
16. TV Spot for "Look Who's Talking Too" (Pretty much the only thing I remember about this movie is the infamous Mr. Toilet Man scene. WARNING concentrated nightmare fuel: • Mr. Toilet Man )
17. Fleischmann's Extra Light Spread
18. Motrin IB
19. Triscuit
20. Dristan Nasal Spray (With Laura Linney giving an Oscar caliber performance)
21. Arrid Extra Dry Glide-On
22. Huggies
23. Depend Undergarments
24. Promo for "Murphy Brown", "Designing Women" and "The Trials Of Rosie O'Neill"
25. "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" Commercial Bumper (Brought to you by 7up. Starting here the recording is from the evening of 12/14/90)
26. 7up (With Spot Phone Offer)
27. Cabbage Patch Kids
28. TV Spot for "Home Alone" (It goes without saying, but this was a box office smash, and at the time that this commercial for it aired had already grossed nearly $100 million. I didn't end up seeing it in theaters until early 1991)
29. Red Lobster
30. Burger King Bucks Gift Certificates
31. Duracell (A great commercial that should have become a perennial Christmas ad. And those little battery testers seemed very futuristic at the time)
32. Burlington Socks
33. Shake 'N Bake
34. Promo for "One Tank Trip" on WJBK Eyewitness News
35. WJBK Station ID
36. Partnership For A Drug-Free America PSA
37. 7up (This should have been a level in the Cool Spot video game)
38. McDonald's (With Michael Jordan. Speaking of "Home Alone", the girl at 14:04 is actress Daiana Campeanu, who played one of Kevin's many cousins in the opening scene of the movie: homealone.fand...)
39. MasterCard
40. "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" Commercial Bumper
41. Promo for "You Take The Kids" and "Lenny"
42. Promo for "Sinatra 75: The Best Is Yet to Come"
43. CBS Station ID
44. White Castle (16:02 Those Holiday Huggables look like they came out straight out of a claw machine at a Kmart. Also what's with that weird voiceover?)
45. Knowing from Estee Lauder at Hudson's (Great cinematography)
46. WJBK Station ID
47. Shake 'N Bake
48. Burger King (The talking baby shtick just doesn't work without the voice of Bruce Willis)
49. Promo for "You Take The Kids"
50. Promo for "Rescue 911"
51. McDonald's (This could have been used as the intro of a sitcom starring Ronald McDonald and the McDonaldland gang, which I would have definitely watched)
52. WJBK Together For The Holidays Contest
53. CBS Station ID
54. WJBK Eyewitness News Bumper (At one point in the late 80’s Joe Glover was an anchor for KSBW, the NBC affiliate where I live in California. I posted part of a newscast with him here: • KSBW Action News 8 Upd... Also, the news set here is very close to the one that KTVU Channel 2 in San Francisco had in the 90's)
55. Target (Man that view at 19:34 is just so nostalgic for anyone who grew up with the NES, though we never had a TV that big back then)

Fun fact about Home Alone. John Williams was not originally the composer. Early posters and ads credited Bruce Broughton. However, he left the project to do the music for Rescuers Down Under, as he always wanted to do a Disney film. John Williams came on as a last minute replacement. Hard to imagine that film without its score.

Here is an early trailer that credits Bruce Broughton: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZDQiat4n5WgjpY It's speculated that the music that starts around 20 seconds in was early music that he composed for the film: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZDQiat4n5WgjpY&t=20s I'm not sure how "last minute" the replacement was given that all of the other trailers credit Williams at the end. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ7MmWCwjK6dfbs

Polaroid- 🎶 Nothing Works Like Polaroid!🎶 I wish that song was longer. It’s so relaxing. Hidden Valley Honey Dijon Ranch Dressing- The voice of Sally Kellerman can make any description of anything sound so expressive. Huggies- I would love to see a full length version of the Nutcracker Ballet performed by the babies in this commercial.

5:41 - Damon Wayans was a last minute replacement as the voice of Mikey’s friend, Eddie. Early trailers had Richard Pryor providing the voice. Never heard what happened behind the scenes.

Home Alone became such a huge hit it ran in theaters well beyond Christmas 1990 and into mid-1991! At just a budget of under 20 million dollars it earned well more than 20 x that amount! Talk about a Christmas movie going a long way!

It was still in theaters when my sister had her birthday party in March of 91...my dad and I watched it while she and her friends saw another movie. It's kind of crazy that a movie so strongly associated with the Christmas season had the legs to stay in theaters that long.

9:48 - Not only would I love that phone, but Santa sounds a bit irritated. I guess Dasher gets a lot of calls. Probably from women wanting to hook up.

11:57 - My yearly tradition of watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) is by watching the Duracell commercial from 1990 that featured Rudolph before it. Rudolph has appeared in a new Duracell commercial for the Europe and Australian markets, where Duracell retains the rights to their pink bunny mascot (whom the Energizer Bunny is a not-so-affectionate parody of).

The Young And The Restless-Hey look it's Matthew Star! Murder She Wrote-maybe Mr.Roarke shouldve stayed on the island.. A Current Affair-Conway Twitty..? I bet the Griffin family was in attendance at his show The Trials Of Rosie O'Neill-Rosie:"If you're an elf, then why dont you have pointed ears?" Home Alone-congrats to Macaulay for getting his star on the Walk Of Fame Partnership For A Drug-Free America PSA-that chanting/laughing at the end creeped me out Rescue 911-way to go,Santa! McDonald's-Announcer:""Ronald And Friends" is a Miller/Boyett production."

#37 - How, I ask? I mean, the pool table alone would be way easier depicted in 3D, let alone its innards; which would at least have required a PlayStation at minimum... Then again, this was created at Spot's infancy, when he never even imagined how good the eventual 16-bit videogame releases would be! XD
