Beautiful video and photography. Singing was nice also.

Stan is the man!! 😁 I’m 65 and definitely not able to climb up and down those stairs carrying a camp chair without holding on to a railing! 😅 I guess I need to work on my strength and balance. I’m finally going out for a 2 night solo camp this week. The funny thing is this campground is 4 miles from my home. I just wanted to get my first camping in before the end of the season, now that I’ve acquired most of my gear. BTW - that was a beautiful hike!

Thank you so much for sharing. Congratulations on a 2 night solo camping. I want to do that sometime but have to convince Stan that I would be safe. I think if we kept in touch with our cell phones both of us would be comfortable enough with the trip. There is a campground just 15 minutes from our home that I wanted to try out but during summer the weather didn’t co-operate and now it’s closed for the season. It is a private campground, family owned. Next Spring for sure. When you say you’ve acquired most of your gear is that just the basics, or do you have some special items?

@@TwoSeniors Just the basics, tent that I can set up by myself- large enough to stand up in, a cot, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, battery operated lantern, a very old camp chair and a basic cooler. I’m just missing the camp stove. My foods will be ready made for this trip. This is funny - it will be cold at night and early morning, so I might drive those 4 miles into town for a hot morning beverage - tea or cocoa. That seems inane to me 🤪, but I have to cool my spending for now. I’ll get my kitchen gear and any other comfort items over the winter. There is cell service at this campground so my daughter and I can stay in touch, which is reassuring. ☺️

@susie-q96 sounds great. I gradually accumulated my gear. I started with our tent, used our bedding at first then after a year purchased sleeping bags. I also started with a butane stove and I pulled kitchen items from my kitchen. Now I’ve been able to have my own camp kitchen. Funny thing is, you eventually gain enough gear that you’re looking for a place to store it when not in use. I’m working on the “storing” aspect, may share that in a video. I do like to be organized and… I was thinking, the more organized I am the easier it will be to spontaneously go camping. Cheers!

Really enjoyed the video! Beautiful park and the falls were so pretty. They did remind me of Niagara Falls. Just gorgeous. I experienced a suspended bridge when I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in the '90's. It swayed like crazy and I was scared. It crossed the Colorado River which is at the bottom of the Canyon. You and Stan certainly can hike longer distances. That's great. Charles Mack reminds me of some of our environmentalists - John Muilr, Aldo Leopold and Gaylord Nelson, who started our national and state parks by buying up the land so that it couldn't be commercialized. Our weather's still warm - 70's F. Tomorrow it's going to reach 80 F!! Our tree color is a week or two later than usual. It's just not cold enough. I'm going to take a drive thru Pt Beach State Park (just a few miles from my house) tonight to see the campsites which are all decorated and lit up for Halloween. Some campers go all out. It's really something to see. So you'll be visiting NY. Have a nice time and be sure to take us along. Take care.

Hi Judy, loved hearing about your ventures. I remember hearing the name Gaylord Nelson when I was a kid. Like you, our weather has been great and I’m looking forward to our annual Cheektowaga, watch airplanes and shop visit. This Monday and Tuesday it will be 19 - 23 Celsius. We go for our anniversary. Usually it’s freezing. Not this year. Looking forward to that fun, and yes, I’ll be taking everyone along. Cheers.

Thanks for being such a great supporter of my channel. If you’re interested in knitting at all I have another channel that I’m growing, Yarn Tales & Threads (knitting & Crochet). We are experiencing a warm weekend, unusual for Ontario weather. We’re happy, going for another hike. Also on Monday, we are heading over to Cheektowaga, NY, one of my favorite places. Cheektowaga is about a two hour drive. We stay overnight and I like to shop at a few favorite stores, Hobby Lobby, Wine & Spirits, and maybe Target this time round. What are you up to these days, any good weather? Cheers!

You two are amazing! What a beautiful park! I think I could do a bit of this, but not as much as you. I will be working up to more. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sue. Thank you for the visual ! I enjoyed every minute of it. Did you hold your camera the whole time? I’m assuming the camera was your cell phone. That makes two of us hoping we are as agile as Stan😅

@@Susan-o9d1s Hi Susan, glad you enjoyed the Fall colors. Yes, I use my iPhone camera. Apple products promise to be some of the best, even with the iPhone enhanced stabilization. It’s a good feature when turned on. Sometimes I use a Tri-pod, at other times I just hold it.
