Could try tights or fishnets in the vents to make it harder for spiders. Shocking about the wood, probably someone new on the factory floor at quarter to pub. Ceiling looks great, nice to see wood and not paint

Oh definitely, I’d love to have it look like the goonies pirate ship, all dark and spooky, but with only having portholes and not coach windows, and those being tinted it’s quite dark inside so I thought lighter wood would make it feel bigger. I always wanted a wood ceiling, might end up painting the walls though, not sure yet, might box and paper lol

@@olivellanarrowboat4319 I am looking at painted panels with dark wood trim when I get my boat, but will have the 'snug' room quite dark wood similar to an old drawing room....and another room with a Starwars flair. Doesnt matter about resale value if I am not selling it lol

Hi, at this point I’ll say no, I’m not intending to live on the boat, tbh I have no plans of putting it in the water. At this point I’m happy just nipping down to NKW for the weekend (I’d love to be there more though), doing some diy and camping in the boat. If the job dissolves or both the guys I share a house with want to move out at the same time I will probably consider selling all my stuff and stepping aboard, but hopefully that day is a few years off yet. But while the house situation & work is stable, i have no intentions of leaving the home I’m in. I’ve been here for 15 years, I live with friends and have cats, its a pretty good life 👍 not much drama. Leaves me free to do things like, try to fit out a Narrowboat! The guy I mentioned is named Andy, his channel is nogun wales. He’s not a craftsman as such, no intricate carving or anything, just very precise, high quality work, the kind of stuff professional boat builders make, I can see his channel becoming the high end textbook for boat builders to come, I never feel as much an amateur than when I see his work

@@olivellanarrowboat4319 Oh thank you that was a very informative answer. I think you're right if you are happy where you are why change it. I have always loved anything to do with narrowboats but having watched a lot of you tube vlogs I am not sure if I could liveaboard, I like to turn on a tap, flush a toilet and switch on the power without having to think about it. I could have done it when I was younger but didn't have the money, now I have the money (tied up in two houses in Kent) I don't feel young enough to take on less comfort. I wish you well and will continue to follow and enjoy your vlogs. Best wishes Christine x
