after a while you will be complaining if a galley have not enough storage, some cabin has no ensuite, the quality of the teak, the lack of an icemaker in the flybridge, or the engine room doesn't allow you to stand up

This boat brought back a scary memory. I was caught in 3m swells and chop in a very similar but less capable aluminum sport fishing boat off the coast of Southeast Alaska. Aluminum hulls can be incredibly noisy. It’s also amazing how quickly the sea state can change. Thanks, Nick!

Had to pause at the start and go get a rope to tie myself to the chair - this has ME at 40 knots just watching the video ! "Purpose built" in the OED, now has a picture of THIS BOAT. Anyone who seriously fishes will want this beautiful beast - from bass for a wall mount to Right Whales for the lamp oil - no job too challenging. And the day head is the outdoors - all day! What a catch. Thanks for sharing and thank Smartfish for making this.

As an avid fishermen for 50 years this boat is not layed out very well for fishing. # 1 You really need to be able to walk completely around the boat. # 2 You definitely need a head, at least a porta-potty. #3 You need easy access to the bow to deploy a sea anchor or wash down the anchor and chain. # 4 fresh and raw water hose bibs at the stern and at bow # 5 inboard "Best " or inboard/outboard OK, no fun fighting a fish around a motor. # 6 You need an auxiliary motor, I'm not going 20 miles off shore and fish around a rocky island with no backup motor, and the transom doesn't look like it would easily except one. Although this boat is set up for a comfortable ride in rough seas it's a pain in the ass to fish when it's rough. Any ways, that's my 2 cents.

Most if not all of those concerns have solutions with Stabicraft, the boat which this is copied from. Walk-arounds, Walkthrough models etc.

if this is as an exact a copy of the Stabicraft boats then you have access to the bow via a hatch in the cabin area. Simply step from the wheel down, pop the hatch and stick your head out and anchor is straight in front of you. No need at all to walk completely around

@@mobstamaniac for sure, there are 10s of thousands of boats with a similar design philosophy as this in New Zealand (where Stabicraft is made), all trailer boats, hardly any have walk around access so that you maximize enclosed space while staying narrow enough to be trailered around the country as Im sure you know Though as you mentioned above Stabicraft offer many different designs, bigger, smaller, walk around etc etc

Had a great weekend fishing in one of these a couple of weekends ago. Great boat. Handled the swells very well, even on a day that other charters were cancelling. There is a toilet on board, you piss off the back 👍 Edit it was that boat 😂 Will's boat! Great guy!

For those going out fishing they out out for quite a number of hours and usually take with them a few beverages so the boat is desperately short of a head. Also a boat made for rough seas there are some very hard corners particularly around the cockpit dash where one could stumble and crack your skull open. Any more than four persons I think the boat would be rather cramped. I personally think it needs better planning for the purpose intended.

Honestly that tour was too quick. If you ever watch the YBS channel, their boat is aluminium 6mm I think, and cost $250k, a little bigger. Very interesting to see a UK comparison

Maybe Nick could clarify if the £82000 price tag is basic boat and engine. Knowing the price of marine components I really can't believe that boat is a mere £82000. I would have thought nearer £150000 rigged the way it is. If that boat is for sale as is at £82000 then it's the best bargain ever.
