Hi Amy and David, Imagine my surprise as I was perusing the Cairns Weekend Post and there was an article about you with a photograph of Amy. Good Luck with the trip to Indonesia. Best regards Helen

Haha, thanks Helen! It was a bit of surprise to us when the photographer showed up. I think we were the only ones on their boat at the time so we just got lucky. :)

Amazing to see one's own backyard on you tube. You'll find Australia is full of 'big' things, but the Big Banana was the first. Looks like you've made your way up to the Whitsundays, as Pentecost Island looked to be in the distance of your outro.

You've got a very good eye. We were indeed in the Whitsundays for the filming of the outro. haha

Nice videos & like the tech battery clip. Just one question we have is how can a lovely young couple afford such a expensive boat with its ongoing upgrades. Only jealous.
@OutChasingStars6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mork. As you can probably imagine, we get asked that question a lot. haha We answered it in our Sailing Q&A video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6mzopxnhZ16qs0

As a Canadian, I have always thought fondly of Australians as they seem quite similar in many ways to Canadians. The problem is I would travel nowhere without my little 18 lbs little girl dog Molly. Australia has such restrictive animal laws that I will never be able to visit. I hope Canada puts the same draconian rules on any animals that originate in Australia. I don’t hold stupid government policies against individuals but I do have a hard time forgetting this discrimination when I speak with Australians here in Canada. All countries have a “special” environment and allowing pampered (all shots and care since they were born) animals to accompany guests should be a human right. Sorry to all those who might think this is political when it is just about stupid rules against man’s best friend. I do like dogs better than most people if you were interested.

Yet they have spiders and snakes that will kill you in a heartbeat.
@53glowe6 жыл бұрын
Uncle Muir No one has died from a spider bite since the 1970's and death by snake is rare due to anti-venene availability. It's sad that this Aussie myth is perpetuated.

Our quarantine laws are strict because we don't have rabies or foot and mouth disease and want to keep it that way. Best you research and don't display your ignorance.
@53glowe6 жыл бұрын
Australia has many rare species and an economy based on livestock and agriculture export to demanding countries like Japan and China. To compromise this trade through disease would be devastating. So the quarantine rules are there for a reason (as Johnny Depp would know when he bypassed quarantine with 2 dogs). I'm sorry you (David Clark) can't accept that with your rather myopic and selfish criticism of Australian animal quarantine laws.
@bayanicustodio39986 жыл бұрын
David Clark if you have had as many problems with invasive species and no doubt animal and other biological problems you would be as hard on violators. You should try bringing in fruit to California and see what they do to you. :) A dog with ticks infected with Lyme disease maybe? How about Rabies? Forms have been known to be forged by people smuggling whatever.
