Definitely the 3/4 wrap handle. Looks like it has a lot of compression. That will go good with my 461. Definitely want to see that wild thing go at saw fest. Keep up the good work Harve.

I wish that I could be at sawfest to put my money in the jar for a chance to win that 046. Unfortunately, I was told via email from the official sawfest 2022 page that there was no more room for spectators/ general public. They had also mentioned how they were looking to grow in the years to come to allow more attendees. Keep up the awesome journey Harvey and hope to see you next year perhaps. 🤞👍

Your are awesome really good info I actually took a 046 big bore kit and put it on a o44 it was a bugger it ran likwme a raped monkey I ran it for quit awhile it blew up it sucked a carb screw and ate the piston

From WA I have been considering making one like that saw myself it would be a beast of a saw with a little less weight than the ms660. And wonder if it would be possible for a 56mm piston on a ms460 probably need a ms660 cylinder also 🤔. However have fun 👍

Ironhorse did you get that 82 cc 046 running right. I listen to you try to start that 046 saw I said I believe you need to reduce your intake volume even more. I have been reshaping my intakes and reducing the volume to create more velocity with great success I saw Aaron lynch build a Stihl 460 with a 660 piston and he said you have to reduce the intake timing to about 71-73 degrees. Then the saw with run. 78 degrees will not run.

Would cc ing the combustion chamber be beneficial for getting an idea of where your at for compression? You know, cut a apiece of Plexiglas for the cylinder and using a graduated cylinder for adding water. Using brake clean to clean your hands drives me Krazy.

Harv just a thaught fly wheel too light for what your trying to move. Try a 046 attic flywheel they are a bit heavier by a oz or so might help out that idle and starting or put on a newer ms 260 coil I can’t remember if it was the Ducati coils or bosh that have the 3 step timing curve built into them 12,24,32’ timing

The correct term for .0015 is 15 tenths. If that what you you mean by 1.5 thousands. Also its wolf creek saw shop not wolf creek supply.

If you got bad gas. Then maybe there is a little water in the carb from the bad gas. Making it hard to start.
