At 17 million BTUs (5000 kWh) per ton (2500 W-h/lb) of wood you are using about 1800 W-h/mile compared to about 400-500 W-h/mile for a similar EV. So that's about 20-25% efficiency which compares well to a gasoline powered ICE and considering the environmental benefits I say "well done"! Firewood costs about $0.10/lb so you achieve about $0.07/mile which compares to a 50 MPG truck with gas at $3.50/gallon.

So what kind of range are you getting per burn load? do you have to re light the fire every time you stop for say 45 min? can you store the gas as back up for a trip?
@BigBeavrSlayer3 жыл бұрын
About 100 miles per hopper load. Can sit for about 3-5 hours without being re lit

Why not compress the gas and put it in a cylinder, like an LPG engine? This could save weight and load space in your truck.
@raelik7773 жыл бұрын
Because a 100-gallon tank of wood gas would only get your vehicle about 2 miles.

Taking a job as a cop or enlisting in the military is illegal too. Only a locally elected sheriff should be able to enforce law. We should abolish everything but the Navy. The Navy should be paid for by the corporations, and let them decide how big the Navy needs to be to protect free trade.
