An excavator on a gondola on the NKP 765 Steam train is rare in this video. The steam train also had two NS heritage units (both SD70ACe's), one, the Illinois Terminal #1072, and the other one, the Wabash #1070. I have no idea one of the steam excursions had an excavator on the front, placed on a gondola. Freight cars on steam excursions are extremely rare, aren't they?

This was a good year to railfan. I remember watching trains in 2012 my gosh was that a good year for trains meaning tons of different locomotives to see unlike today which is pretty much just Gevos pulling every train which gets quite boring after a while, especially the common CSX dpu style train, I mean talk about boring!
