Harvest is just a series of malfunctions till all the crops are in. I always called it a win when I made it through with only minor issues.

When I was 16, we got a 1460 case-IH and boy were we big Pimpin... that replaced a 4400 I have a soft spot for deere, but the IH/Case-IH were life changing.... I currently live in West ALLIS, WI a village founded as Honey Creek, Wi, renamed as it was the village West of the Allis Factory... there are other businesses in the complex now, but I go to "The Old Allis Factory at a minimum, every other week as a heavy haul and specialized driver... Your videos make me want to farm again... I guess that's why I follow you...

We pulled out of the drought conditions here all summer, then late August, all of September,, the rain stopped. Currently in burn ban. But crops did great. 68 bu beans. Corn 250 No rain still in 10 day forecast

We have a dry forecast for quite a while. Been running crazy hard. Keep it up and I’ll be done in October. That’s never happened before.

Sounds like you run in a very similar rain situation that we do up here in southeastern Alberta, we can make some dang good crops but 7 years out of 10 we won’t grow more than half of average anymore. You guys also run older equipment like us besides our sprayer and one combine, we run an 87 case ih 4494, an 86 case ih 2394, a 75 case 1070 for tractors, when we get to seeding equipment we run an 03 case ih stx450 so i guess thats not too old for our area for seeding tractors, a 51ft new holland air drill with a 380bu cart, a case ih 7120 combine, a case ih 2188 combine, a 1660 case ih combine and the sprayer is an 09 case ih 3320. We have nice equipment but definitely not new by any means. Also run an 88 chevy 5 ton and a 79 ford ln600, our big truck is an 07 pete 378 with a 2017 45ft triaxle grain trailer.

We have an R65 66 and S77 and I’ve never once opened rotor door to get air filter out. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but 😂😂

Soybeans are such a dirty crop to harvest but then running the head right on the ground you can't expect it to be clean. I agree with you don't need to start a fire when conditions are favorable.

Looks like really good beans to me. Yes fires in combines is no fun. Glad ya'll blew it out to start. Funny you mention John Deere having more areas to blow out. One would think the engineers would remedy that. But engineers seem to be on self guided tours here lately so don't seem to care about the farmers or mechanics much and some equipment needs a book to learn just how to fix it. I watch JTs barn & grill a lot and he has to work on his 6600 a whole bunch. His better combine is a 4400 so you know how he stands since ya'll wore out a 9300 and shipped it straight to Mexico.

I can’t say my old Massey combines are any better to work on than JD combines of that era. Gleaners are probably the easiest modern combine for a farmer to repair himself though.

@@KesslerGrainfarms was the slip clutch for the beater in the draper then I think the feederhouse. I forget now. Took this video 7 days and 800 acres ago.

We aim for 30 bushel beans and 80 bushel corn. Can have years when it’s double that. And years we get zero.

I usually change my air filter out after bean harvest. Could try it out then.
