The new Virgin Australia Lounge at Adelaide certainly introduces a completely new look to the brand. I particularly like the airiness and natural light. I personally would like to see the current table service style of dining continued. It`s a lot more civilised than buffet style catering. Coriander is one of the very few flavours that I do not like too! Thanks for posting Jayden, and good luck with your ongoing uni studies.

OMG...I'm sitting here eating my breakfast (oatmeal with blueberries, almonds, cinnamon and buckwheat honey) but am WAY hungrier watching you eat those two awesome-looking burgers and the Thai noodle dish! That's a great lounge VS has, and what a cool, convenient way to place your food order. Is there really a Facebook group called "I Hate Coriander"? (For those who are unaware, in many places, the green herb variety is "cilantro" and the seed is "coriander.") Ha ha ha! 13:57 - what's with the plastic panels on the seatbacks forward of your row? Did they have PTVs at one time? I don't normally expect any real meal on such a short flight, there wouldn't really be time for the cabin crew to serve all of the passengers. The one-way fare seems pretty reasonable. Very nice trip report as always, Jayden!

13:57 yep Virgin Blue (Virgin Australia started off as Virgin Blue and it was a low-cost airline, then eventually rebranded to a full service airline called Virgin Australia!) used to have PTV. I don't exactly know why the second half of the aircraft don't have the plastic panels, but I guess it's because they added economy x (economy with extra legroom) and adjusted legroom etc. so needed some extra seats?! I'm going to Brisbane this weekend and am going back to that lounge. Am currently fasting so that I can eat heaps HAHHA!! Thanks Britt!

I am not a big eater, so it's enough for me...but many would find it not enough.... especially if it's gonna be a customer's main lunch or dinner for the day I am sure Virgin will bring back better food and drinks soon. Especially with the Aussie government announcing all the cheap flight holiday destinations today 😄

I reckon the new lounge concept, while not groundbreaking bodes well for the repositioned VA. Let's hope that their new business class and buy on board offerings to be released soon are up to scratch. Buffet won’t be available for a while due to Covid restrictions so until then I think they’ll keep the QR code. Melbourne lounge also adopted the QR code. Was in Brisbane 3 days ago, you still go up and tell the staff what you want :)

Yes since Jan 2021 it is a federal law to wear a mask at airports and planes. Though most states (SA, VIC etc) have removed or never have mandated the masks wearing requirements!! So if the federal government didn’t step in in January no one would be wearing them

totally! But in Europe, normally you’ll need to pay extra for seat selection and baggage. With Virgin it’s included. I prefer it this way so I don’t have to worry about paying for extras :) But if I fly frequently for work, like day trips, I might prefer the European way
