Wow no way!!! I saw this exact sled of pm for 3k 2 weeks ago! I almost thought about getting it for a parts sled but you must have beat me to it! I’m so glad that your showing your journey with it and if you get it going then I might consider trying to get one like it going too. Awesome project and I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished!

Any updates on it? Or is it just sitting as a pile of metal?

Hey Bobby it’s been awhile. The 2017 I bought this year had a motor replacement in March 2018 and that was the cause a chafed wire. I just ordered a B.U.D.S. System for diagnosing all BRP products. With the new smart Shox system and the turbos getting to be more popular with the older riders I’m getting more calls on the four strokes but I don’t usually work on them. Maybe i can make a living doing what I love if all goes well. Well take care and I will be following closely on your 850 rebuild. Great video as always thanks for the info. Stay Safe Buddy.

Wow thats badass. What kit did you buy? Youre absolutely right computers are going to become more and more necessary. Shoot me an email rrebussini@gmail.com I kick around the idea of doing more with all this. Thanks again!

I can tell you one thing for sure, the 600 e-tech and the 600r are the longest lasting, most efficient 2 stroke snowmobile engines on the planet. every engine is going to have a few bad ones but the 600's have seen most units run over 10,000 km and ever up to 15,000 km with minimal maintenance.

Oh those 600s are rock solid!!

Widen up the crank angle and you start beating up the bearings. Well known concept.

I know this video is old, but do you have a picture, or video of where that wire is chafing? i'd want to fix this before its an issue. Thank you

Hey there, I just bought my very first sled. A 2015 Polaris switchback 800. What do you think of that engine, and its reliability compared to the slightly older ones like 2014 and older? Thanx.
@bobbyrebussini14663 жыл бұрын
The polaris 800 is a decent engine! ive seen a bunch of them go a long time.

If you don't mind me asking........what year is it and how much did you pay for the sled? I ask because I bought a 2004 600 SDI with a blown engine for $1500 CND(it also came with all the parts to fix it) I was able to have it up and running for $2000( thats the price of the sled plus new battery, new head and a few body pieces. It was a great project and I would love to find a non running 2010- 2016 800 XRS
