this problem is fixed easy and cheap. the next thing is cheap but they want a fortune for the whole part because the cheap part is not separate.

He has commented in other videos about Wes' wife. Sad story really. He is one of those people who are completely oblivious to the world around them and whats going on.

I don't want to sound like a know it all, but I am a John Deere mechanic, The filter restriction sensor is a well known problem, John Deere has updated that sensor several times. John Deere says the older sensor had a problem with the terminals touching each other randomly inside the sensor body. The newest part number is RE519430, the newest number has been working the best so far, but I have had to replace a few of even the new ones. That same sensor is used on alot of machines all the way up to the brand new ones. As far as the IVT reverser lever, if the code is just "lever not in park at startup", or something similar I wouldn't worry about it. Reverser levers do go bad electronically occasionally. Armrest Control Units are also very common to go bad in 30 series and early R series. An ACU has to be programmed by the dealership though, almost all John Deere control units come blank. Also a warning, do not use compressed air to blow dust from inside the armrest console, that is because the armrest control unit is very sensitive to static electricity. When you buy a new one they come in a tin foil bag designed to stop static electricity with a big warning about it on the bag. Love the videos Wes, been watching for years, if you need information or schematics or something, let me know I would be happy to help.

Welcome to the real world of what some stupid little parts are starting to cost. Now Imagine they tell you that part price for a tractor that's worth 10K or it's obsolete and you can't find a good used or jobber one to replace it and there is several other parts at similar prices you need to that are available. Lots of the older stuff I work on now I'm spending longer trying to find parts or take stuff apart to see if we can fix it without buying the whole part, that may be expensive . The other bad thing here in Canada we are finding is since the 19 sneezes we are waiting weeks for parts and they are wrong when we get them for some reason ! Thanks for the video

I've telling people for years that partially used filters filter better than new ones and they always laugh at me. Which has always made me chuckle because if they can't see why they can't be particularly bright. This is especially the case for air filters of course. It does increase resistance to airflow of course which, if excessive will light the light and cause an axial load on the turbo turbine bearings, which is a bad thing. Its all about the compromises.

One reason why I will always prefer the old "Next Generation" JD series tractors. Rarely had those issues. Again, that's why I don't care for JD's new stuff. Too damned expensive to fix and most generally, always a sensor of some kind. Wes, I got a 1023e compact utility, apparently, every 100hrs the pto rocker switch breaks. Fixed mine by drilling a hole and inserting a woodscrew, works fine now. Great video, cheers :)

Wes wasnt the 8530 where you had problems with before? im thinking it was the load sensing valve before. Hydraulic filters arent clogged up because of nothing.. what implement did you have on it before it? rpm is revolutions per minute, therefore you do not need a 's' at the end as it is already where it needs to be.
@mikeznel60483 жыл бұрын
When you're using "rpm" instead of actually saying "revolutions per minute" it makes more sense to have the "s" at the end of rpm.
