I remember when I first found 86. I was just scrolling through Crunchyroll looking for stuff to watch and came upon this interesting looking seasonal anime. I decided to give it a watch out of sheer curiosity. About a year and a half later 86 has become my all-time favorite anime that I have ever watched.

Yes one of my favorites as well. Starts out and still looks at times a young sweat nice beauty. But rises to save what was left of her nation and in effect ruling it for awhile while doing the impossible what was thought sure to kill at a much lower level link herself to every 86 left available to fight a massive show of willpower. She lives up the her Bloody Queen label despite it probably intended as insult originally, willing to have many of those who serve her die as needed to win while caring greatly for them.
