86 Ford F250 XLT Diesel 1986 Supercab V8Lounge

Sorry for not being on the (great video) bus, bec it’s just not, you literally said you don’t know shit about these engines and it shows. I fell in love with ford motors the first time I was involved with a rebuild. 302 Windsor, we put a 4 barrel intake with 351 heads and a 351 cam a high volume oil pump, which made it a 302 “boss” , that was the meanest 302 I’ve ever seen in my life. When we put it back in that 86 four door truck with a 6” lift running 35” wagon wheels, nothing around could compare! It was an animal! We hauled a goose neck horse trailer to Uwharrie about 1 a month and it walked them mountains no problem. It sounded completely different, and didn’t even have header pipes, just straight duals out the back. I guess it’s hard to appreciate something like that if you haven’t done it. Everyone has a biased opinion on a manufacturer, so I won’t say Ford is the best, but it’s my favorite. The old heads knew how pull untapped power out of them in the backyard on a Saturday. I miss those days…
