Its not that they are more reliable, its that they are relatively cheap to repair, way easier to work on than modern cars and need zero specialty tools to do so. This enables people to keep them alive with ease. The average car on the road is older than ever before and has more miles on it than previous generations. The barrier to entry to repair modern cars is significantly higher than 60s-70s muscle cars.

I’m a big fan of VGG and enjoyed watching his new MT episode but I have to say Derek does a way better job entertaining and showing his mechanic abilities on his VGG show. If I had a choice I rather watch his VGG on KZbin. But I’m glad for Derek getting his name out there.

Derek & Jessica (and Dan)...outstanding job on this iconic, classic American automobile resuscitation, rescue and restoration to roadworthiness! You are the "real deal" as far as good, genuine, honest, down to earth Americans go and we're so glad you got your own show! Dan does absolutely gorgeous work on vehicle interiors and we hope to see him helping you fix up and save many classic/vintage rides on your Roadworthy Rescues episodes. GOOD JOB!

I’m not worried…Derek stays true to the ones that he considers family, friends & fans. I 100% guarantee that he Contractually agreed to do this MT Series without having to put his & out beloved VGG YT Channel to the side. Good On You, MotorTrend for recognizing a champion & a Gem of a Dude. your show’s crew will have a blast working with our guy. we love the Bieris…they contribute so much to less-fortunate masses, while inspiring many along the way.

This was my first car when I was 15. I loved my 200 6. Split exhaust manifold with a horrible leak that made it sound like a 289. Nice job on the Craigslist rebuild. My favorite episode.
