Its not that they are more reliable, its that they are relatively cheap to repair, way easier to work on than modern cars and need zero specialty tools to do so. This enables people to keep them alive with ease. The average car on the road is older than ever before and has more miles on it than previous generations. The barrier to entry to repair modern cars is significantly higher than 60s-70s muscle cars.

My wife and are older and have been watching VGG for years and have really enjoyed it. Watching the kids grow up and working in the shop with Derek is really cool. Congrats to both Jessica and Derek.

This was my first car when I was 15. I loved my 200 6. Split exhaust manifold with a horrible leak that made it sound like a 289. Nice job on the Craigslist rebuild. My favorite episode.

@ViceGripGarage please keep the fun loving integrity of what you do Derek. VGG is a national treasure of useful information and fun. Don’t let big Media water it down and keep “bringing the thunder”.

Derek this has been amazing to watch, seeing you grow your channel over the years and get it to the point that it is, landing a network show doing what you love, all while being you. You deserve it, maybe celebrate by making an amc javelin roadworthy? Loved the AMC shoutout
