That’s my 1933 King Kong tribal staff at 9:59! So glad you found a screenshot of it. This was when I had the staff on display at the Hollywood Heritage Museum in Hollywood, CA in 2019 for a book signing event with Victoria Riskin, Fay Wray’s daughter. Great video!

I really loved the old Dinosaur models from 1933, they were inspiring and I felt like I wanted to recreate a story of Godzilla living on an island with non extinct dinosaurs.

28:50: In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary (as well), an inflatable 50-ft balloon recreation of Kong was strapped at the bottom of the Empire State Building’s mooring mast (which was originally supposed to be a docking port for airships). However, bad weather conditions caused Kong to get some “puncture” (not gunshot) wounds, and, thus, he was deflated & taken down a lot earlier than expected.

We need to get a film based on the early days of Merian C. Cooper and the making of *"KING KONG 1933".* It should even be released for the 1933 film's 100th anniversary. And I do wonder who could star as the cast & crew?

It'll be public domain by then, so I don‘t expect anything of high quality, kong is already pubic domain himself because universal forgot to renew the copyright on the 1932 novelisation of the movie used as promotional material in the months leading up to it's release

I'm glad to see these videos back, I love the reviews especially the Kong reviews, Speaking of Bob Burns, did you know that while he was working on a movie, he actually found the Godzilla and Angiruis suits from Godzilla raids again, in a crates near the set of where they were filming this sci-fi movie, Apparently it was for the reshoots for when Godzilla raids again was going to be called the Volcano monsters.

It's a good thing a lot of these models survived to this day, considering their history. I even remember seeing some of those documentaries with Peter Jackson and his Kong collection, which were all fascinating.

Just so we get the timeline of the wall correct: It was originally built for Cecil B. DeMille's KING OF KINGS in 1927 and didn't appear again until it was redressed six years later for KING KONG. It next showed up in the THE RETURN OF CHANDU, a serial produced by Sol Lesser Productions starring Bela Lugosi released in 1934. The following year the wall came back in SHE which was an RKO production. The next appearance of the wall was its final one in GONE WITH THE WIND (1939).

we might have footage of the lost spider pit sequance because in the black sqorpion theres a scene where a little boy gets chased by a giant tic and the footage was origanal footage from the king kong spider pit scene he just put footage of the boy in with the footage from the spider pit scene.

​@@Trash-ef2jn I believe that the Godzilla 1962 suit didn't survive, if you wanted to know that. Like some of the other Godzilla suits they rotted into oblivion and were lost to time. Heck, even the original 1954 suit didn't survive.

I have two books about Creation with production story and storyboards from the Skull Island archives series. And from David Conover and Philip Riley there’s the book “War Eagles the Unmaking of an Epic”. Among other thins it contains the third script.

A year ago I discovered a seller on eBay selling a piece of the cotton used for the other Brontosaurus. He attended, it seems, Forry Ackerman’s 2002 auction (4E needed to sell to pay for his cancer bills). The eBay seller made me sick :(

Movie world was in Buena Park California not Burbank I think you're thinking of the film studio Warner Brothers movie world which is in Burbank but the actual movie world museum where King Kong was in Buena Park California are you so is go there when I was a kid and Saw King Kong aperture! And movie world closed down in 2005 not the 70's
