Only advantage of a static is size. In one you are completley under the thumb of the site owner . You do not have any rights just like a tourer. But in a tourer you can simply hitch n go. In a static you will have to pay the site owner to leave & only use hauliers they approve of ( normally the brother in law).. also if you sell it .. they want a % of the sale. They can also give notice if your van passes 10 yrs old.. And insist you only buy from them.. Want decking or a shed .. ohh thats only via their approved suppliers ( bro in law again) Never ever get a static on a site.

Yep! Sadly all true, we've been there. You pretty much summed up my future video, tourer = freedom. Thank you for watching and happy touring! Kat

A new static caravan is beautiful, but you are at the mercy of the site owner , because you can't move it easily. The one thing that I wish touring vans could have is a proper toilet 🚽🧻

Agree! Yes, you are at the mercy of the site owner and whatever fees they set for the season. Also, the common scenario is the take over of a family owned site by the big chains... which usually means a steep increase in fees to get rid of owners of older vans to guess what, make space for the new ones. It is more and more evident that the war for access to beautiful sites and nature is raging, especially since covid. K
