Here's the Mega-Size 1/48 scale Zaku II. This kit is huge and expensive! But man is it huge and awesome! So if you're willing to pay the price, and you have plenty of space to display it, you'll have something pretty awesome with this one!

the pipes actually have armor but i dont think that stops any other mobile suits from ripping it off though they do seem to do the trick against other low grade enemy munition (as far as ive seen)

The issue is that the Zaku was one of the most resiliant and robust Mobile Suits, and the first to hit military scale mass-production. People just ain't gonna have time to yank at tubing because their first thought is going to be "Oh god there's three of them"

I had to check, but there is a minor difference between this version and the Char's custom being that his is a S-type. There are some extra thrusters on the back of the legs, but the fact it doesn't come with a bazooka still makes for a hard buy unless you're a stickler for accuracy with your gunpla.

You're right, the backpack is even different. Man, there are far too many variations of the Zaku II to keep track. I only remember the difference between regular and Char's because of the RG line. It's a nice detail though. Great review also, I was always hesitant with its lack of articulation, but it does look imposing just as is.

Ive just ordered my RX-78 and Chars Zaku II. I think they will make for a fun paint and detail with such a large size. I also dont think they will ever be posed while on display. Just standing. Ill save the poses for the master and real grades.

I just thought about something while I was watching this review. For seam lines, you could probably use a dremel on low or a round file to sand off a small gap and use silicone caulk to fill in the seam. Have you ever seen anyone do this? I would like to know if it would work. I might try it myself cause caulk is used for shower doors to hold them in and pretty much sticks to everything. I do some minor home repairs and that's why I thought of it. I would recommend putting on gloves cause that stuff gets everywhere if your not use to working with it. It's just a thought and I think it might be a fast meathod for removing seams.

i would get one of those but i can't find any option hfor hands with artikulated fingers. you think a model kit of that size would have many options for detail complexity.

No, not at all. This is 1/48, PG is 1/60 scale. So this is bigger. But this has no inner frame like the PG. PG has a lot more pieces but this actually has more surface detail. Pros and cons honestly because the PG is pretty old now

Ah, this answers my parts separator question, thank you! :D But would you actually want to use the curved bit to remove parts from the runners? I would think that it would damage a lot of the plastic coming off, not to mention collateral damage to parts nearby.

The green one includes the bazooka and it’s the same price! But the Chars Version has different parts for the backpack and back of the legs

@@redhunter3327 the kits are exactly the same other than the bazooka and parts of Char's I mentioned. if you want the bazooka get the green one, if you want char's style (more verniers) then get that one

I've always been impressed with Gundam kit engineering. But I've never liked kits because of its fragility and hollowness. I had the opportunity to buy a huge Gundam and Zuku action figures from Thinkway and Megahouse years ago. They look this this Zaku but is red and stand about 15 inches tall. Big, tall, and heavy. It has battery compartments for the electronic sounds. If you equate heft with quality, than this is it! It's weakness is it doesn't have much panel line details and lacking in extra weapons.

Spartan 154 yeah... that's 1/60, this is 1/48. The Banshee is definitely more complicated and close to the same size just cause it's a really big Gundam. But this is clearly the larger scale

a Zaku is about 18m tall, so divide that by 48 and you've got the height of this kit.

What i meant was: How big would the "Titan" Zaku be, in fiction, compared to a normal Zaku.; Using the height difference between the 1/144 and the 1/46 as a basis. So in other words: >Standard Zaku's height (17.5m/57.415 ft,) X Unknown Amount = Titan Zaku's height< I'm really bad at working out scale, I need a ruler. >.< I'm just imagining a standard Zaku finding some Federation Mobile Suits (GMs, Balls, etc) so he can introduce them to his massive friend.
