In today’s episode, we take you on a tour of some of our favorite drives in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Bay Area has a lot of really nice driving roads and beautiful scenery. It’s such a great place to be a sports car owner! While it won’t be possible to cover every single one, we will be giving you our top 10 favorite roads to drive.

I believe I chased you up Mines Rd a little over a month ago in my TSX. I backed off pretty quick when I realized how quick an 86 was on those tight turns. Making me consider get one!

redwood road is best done at night, i live right next to it at night it’s just all the people tryna go fast and no hikers driving slow

Agree I hit redwood on my way to work sometimes at 4am and you have it all to your self and no police so you can really open it up

I always bring another buddy to drive with me when I go onto canyon rds that I never been or very isolated from cities. Its just a safety measurement incase I do break down or anything that happens I have another car to ride in to get help

Pescadero Creek Road has a beautiful view of the mountains to the south, surprised you didn’t show any of that.

that's a great point, many of the drives I talk about in this video series have great views and vista points along the way, I've focused primarily on the driving experience on the road but definitely recommend stopping here and there to enjoy the views!

Have you ever driven up Mount Hamilton? To get to Lick Observatory? I’m pretty much there 5 nights a week around 2am. In a black s2000 or a black sti or a black hellcat. 😎

Yep, I've driven it. I did it once at night, but it's too damn dark out there, and I would rather not do it again LOL.

Ah yes Redwood road, had some good/bad memories there. Nearly went over with my RSX-S and ripped out my passenger side skirt. Learned since then to always respect the roads and NEVER EVER go close to 10/10ths

I thought calaveras road in the east bay would make the list. It's beautiful and you can see a reservoir on the way.

I used to drive Calaveras a lot more when I lived in the Fremont area. To me, it doesn't quite make the list because it's too narrow, has poor visibility around some corners, and is too well travelled (a lot of non-enthusiast people take it as a shortcut when there's traffic on 680). I have a friend who crashed into oncoming traffic there and I'm always worried that the same could happen to me. For that reason it's a road I avoid most of the time.

I think it’s great during the day, but you’re bound to kill some critters if you dare at night. Same as Mines Rd.

I think the Google Maps estimates assume you're going the 25mph speed limit the whole way.

I'm definitely considering it... but as I noted before it's a tough choice to make when my current BRZ is so heavily modified with far more power.
