Excellent video! It is quite typical here in Czechia to have a room with a bathtub/shower and sink and a separate room where there is the toilet (+a small sink). I am wondering what would you call these rooms and how would you distinguish between the two? (If you ask your friend in Prague where the bathroom is, don't be surprised if you end up in the room with a tub but with no toilet ;-) )

In Brazil we have almost always a "ducha higiênica" (literally translated: hygienic shower) beside the toilet, which has the same function as the bidet. One of the biggest culture shocks my family suffers everytime we go to USA is the lack of a hygienic shower.

Good point! And you can just call it a bidet. Even though we don't have them in the U.S., we use the word "bidet" to refer to this thing.

some call it a bum gun. I know some Americans travel to SEA, and they do have the same question why don't they have it in the US.

Sorry, but I don't see bidet here, only in clinics like ginicology and others.

@@grazielaalmeida8438 , I have it in my house, my parents, my in laws, and my brothers have it in their houses. Almost every hotel that I have stayed in Brazil had one of that.

Great, you mentioned everything in my bathroom and many other things I don't have. The introductory vocabulary about bathroom (bathroom, restroom, laboratory, toilet, WC...) is welcome. Thanks from Senegal, West Africa.

Same in France and I think that 'bidet' is actually a French word. :)

Vanessa, I find listening very difficult even if I know the words in writing, any tricks on how do I improve listening?

What I do is to choose a short video (it can last just 3 min to begin) about a topic I like, then I close my eyes and I do pay attention to catch the meanings according to the context while trying to understand everything (if I don't it's okay). After that, I watch it again but this time I use subtittles. If necessary, I pause and go a little back just to make sure I'm really understanding the pronounciation. If you consider it goes very fast then try reducing the speed a little bit. The last thing but not the least, is to repeat step 1, that is to close your eyes one more time and listen to the video. If you don't know the meaning of something then you could use your dictionary or an online translator. This helped me a lot to improve my listening skills. Hope it helps you too.
