Kei and Bo are so tough! They were complaining at the mountain bike race they entered. This ride they are just rock n' rolling it. Macky, you are an amazing brother! Syd is just fantastic. Thanks guys!

Although I was a roadie back in the sixties and seventies, I certainly missed Syd and Macky zooming insanely through the trees and over the rocks on their off-road races. Just glad you survived for the next off-road race.

A suggestion, Mackey made a statement about how you have to eat to win. Would make a video about how you decide what to eat, when, how much, fats vs carbs, healthy food vs snacks, etc. I just turned 68 and try to stay away from sugar, wheat, and crappy seed oils. I would love to get your opinions. Thanks!
@Team81MTB2 жыл бұрын
That was inspiring. Guess I'll dust off my road bike and go play roadie tomorrow. It'll be a nice change of pace from the trail. I have a feeling it won't take too long to be back on the MTB tho. 😁

Beau: “should I pee myself?” No, this is road riding not triathlon 😂 Love the yellow/gold bar tape. Oh deer! No, not Turbo. Don’t go Turbo (Wreck it Ralph). But dang, zooming down hill at 40+ mph is soo fun! Once you understand pace lines, you understand the importance of teams in cycling.

Good on ya folks. A beautiful ride but I find road riding on a highway absolutely terrifying. Not for me. I will accept all the risk of mountain biking over putting my life in the hands of a distracted driver a few feet from me.

Great video, went to buy some merch from the store👍 May I ask what is the hot recovery drink? 🤔 This route could've been done with a road bike as well in my point of view, I didn't see too much gravel like paths or am I wrong?

Skratch Labs chocolate mixed with hot water = hot chocolate 😍 and yes it's definitely a road ride! We just only have gravel bikes.

Funny how you get used to big miles or Km’s. My biggest is just over 400k in a day. I have been doing road and mtb’ing the whole year round for almost 30 years. Mtb I love st the time, road I feel the good after. Riding near London generally is rubbish. Audax events are lovely with lovely people. Riding in France or Ital in the mountains on road bikes is amazing. Then again mtb’ing in Lenzerheide this summer with my kids and wife was super-cool. Like god gave me something back. Bikes are the best

Haha. That's the new PEARL iZUMi PRO Alpha layer (bit.ly/3DjD098). It's pretty cool because it's fleecy but also has holes in it. Hard to describe, but it's a cool layer because it's really insulating if you have a wind breaker over it, but if you don't, the air goes right through and cools you down.
