Hell yeah! I knew it was a matter of time before someone put a real vtiwn in a cart. It's gonna sound so sick! 💯👌

People have put so many things on go-carts... Hell I've seen snowmobile engines slapped on go-carts as well as crotchrocket engines... Nothing like 600(+)cc engines on a tube frame for fun.

With the front cylinder behind the seat you will need a external oil cooler mounted where it can breathe or it will overheat.
@ericmuhlbeier80233 жыл бұрын
Its gonna need head fans too!!! The poor thing is gonna melt behind that big ole seat!!
@TankToChest3 жыл бұрын
It’s gonna be fine. Run two big twin oil coolers and extend the capacity of the dry sump tank. Make sure the coolers have 12v fans and you’ll me good.

LOL...this build is awesome and all. But really? ridiculous amounts of power? This is the same engine people want to call "girl bikes" It makes 53hp. He had more than that in several other projects now. Just comical to hear HAHA..

Love the idea of a V-twin cross kart. A sport bike engine is great for wide open space but the torque of a twin seems better suited for riding in and around the Smokies.
@ogt92fromthe1step93 жыл бұрын
Love the build. But just maybe you might want to slap in a 1200 kit or at least a bigger cam. That is a lot of steel to pull around and I get you have a 72 tooth sprocket but you you're asking a lot out of that 883 with 30 inch tall tires, all that tubing steel, accessories and your weight, you're going to be pushing the scales. Awesome build dude. I love how your your dude is sharing his learning experiences with the lathe. Keep on rocking brother 🤟

What makes you choose to use mig or tig with the frame i noticed you did both?
@waylonbaker93183 жыл бұрын
as an 883 owner I really wonder what the power will feel like on this set up. Def make sure you run a good intake and proper exhaust system for some low down torque to pull that cart around. Absolutely awesome running powerplant though stoked for this build congrats on SEMA thats huge! and yes.. like a few other comments keep in mind that beast is air cooled and they like to get pretty warm maybe build an air duct to direct air to the engine? That could be killer.

One thing i can say is make a point to get a large oil cooler for extra oil they need it even in the bike form and at least upgrade clutch or just springs make big diff cause of weight.and look into newer bike with fuel injection possible wrecked bike to save money .the possibility of tuning and haven the gauges working would awesome to see this build always want to do one because had so many family members and friends that worked for Harley Davidson in York pa learn alot funny though own more Japanese bike then Harleys lol (Honda's) run for ever.

Years ago I got to see a very nice engine swap mating a Harley engine to a Type 1 Volkswagen Transmission, only thing it was missing was a set of symmetrical pipes that crossed left to right.
@christopherallen96153 жыл бұрын
This build is awesome it's another great build of yours. I like how you are always sort of outside-the-box with things. You aren't that 1 million guy that puts a crotch rocket engine in a buggy LOL. Granted, that Harley motor will probably leak oil and stuff LOL. But I'm very excited about it and I love that you went with that motor because it's different. Maybe you can be the guy that builds that engine to where it won't leak and is reliable LOL. This is going to be super cool to watch! Keep up the good work guys!
