Love your stories Lee especially when you tell them about your travels with other legendary musicians . They are right calling JR a human time machine although i find it ironic when you were reading the amount of album and studio work he has done that it was read by one of the worlds top bassist with similar accomplishments who has played on more albums most are even aware and some with JR .

Thank you for another visit and the well regarded commentary on the different ways to judge musicianship. Session players are a special grade. The news from Ukraine is very disheartening, we seem to be making the same mistake each generation without correction. They play the same out of key note and expect it to fulfill. There needs to be someone who can make them leave the stage.

Ukraine forever! I don't have a puppy in this discussion, no one can ever take anything away from J.R . However Hal Blaine has claimed " over 35,000 sessions and 6,000 singles. His drumming is featured on 150 US top 10 hits, 40 of which went to number one, as well as many film and television soundtracks." From Wikipedia. My personal favorites remain Russ Kunkle and Steve Gadd. Brilliant story today Lee. We are indebted. Hope there is light at the end of your pipe soon. Might be the most widely known drain pipe story in the land.
