Not sure if I would have been one to join you...takes a little more nerve than I think I might have! Sure looks cool though! Good to know everyone made it back unscathed...take care now. Bruce and Otis

Hi Bruce (and Otis). Thanks for having a look. First time up that mountain (surprisingly since it's so accessible) and I had heard about this 'feat' for years, so took a look and two of us decided to give it a go. I think my being 69 gave it more kudos than it merits. :-) Take care you two!

Brilliant effort Terry. Its a very exposed scramble that last part

You're right there. You wouldn't want everybody to give it a try. It's not hard admittedly but the potential for disaster is there.

It has a reputation. I certainly wouldn't consider doing that in winter. It was sobering (almost) as we sat having our pint, looking up at the summits where a Coastguard rescue helicopter was hovering while it lowered down mountain rescue team to 'package' a casualty before they airlifted him to hospital. Lower leg injury apparently.

Ohhhh my... Hiking... Do you do training or something before doing that? I seem to like hiking but that is like a hard path.. In group is good too. Always take extra careful. More to share and watch.
@TerryMcGearyScotland3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for asking. No, we don't train for hiking although some folk, including me hike once or more each week to keep us fit. We group hike once per fortnight, and I used to find if I missed a hike I was really out of condition for the next. Now I tend to hike every week as well as the group ones. It's still not exactly easy to climb 3000ft, say, but it's great to be able to do it for as long as I can. The social aspect is good for a safety as well as fellowship: we enjoy a social hour where possible. All the best to you.

Oh, you went on a difficult course to climb. You'd better be careful in difficult areas. I think I can understand the urgent moment just by taking a picture. See you next time.👍😀
@TerryMcGearyScotland3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Well the climb was actually not difficult, just a bit dangerous. I perhaps should not have done it.

Wowzers sir. That is scary enough during a bright sunny day climbing that rock but to do it in muggy weather is extreme. The things youtubers do for superstardom lol. Its a great walk but sitting inside the eye of the needle is plenty for me lol. You did amazing doing that... Well done. I have to ask about the car parking in Arrochar. Is it as steep as the cobbler on price? As you know I've camped in Arrochar a few years ago and on a summers night walked up about 3 quarters of the way up and just sat and watched the sun set.. Great memories. Hope your well Take care sir Speak soon 🥾🥾👍😊👍🏴⛰️

Hi, Scott. I joked with the group that I was just going to help Eddie back down, but when I had a climb through the eye I just felt it was do-able so did it with Eddie standing by helping point out hand holds. I enjoy a scramble. The The first parking as you leave Arrochar is the one to use (one before the bridge I think) since it has ample free portaloos and free parking thanks to a grant to a charity of some sort. They have an honesty box policy now so parking was a suggested £1 p hr and £5 whole day if I recall correctly. The other car park had at least two cars with penalty envelopes taped to their windscreen! Sharks. My recce buddy was telling that the charity group had campaigned against the other carpark's attempt to claim that one too! So they deserve their donations for the toilets and car park. The views were tremendous, at least below the cloud line! A great day out. I see you've uploaded a new one which I'll enjoy after dinner. Take care buddy!

Another hiking accomplishment, or I would say rock climbing.
