I don’t think Nunez is disappointing at all. Yes he may not get the goals ect. But he’s really only cost them in the Luton game this season. He completely changes the Liverpool attack, Liverpool won it all with Firmino up top and he didn’t score goals either. When you have Salah out wide, the striker isn’t ever going to outscore him, he’s there to accommodate and play with Salah, which Nunez is doing really really well whenever he’s on the pitch I think the Liverpool shout could be Diaz, he came in and absolutely ripped up the league for the first few months and carried the team, then got injured and now can’t even take a man on one on one

With KDB out, Foden should've shown out and essentially been the creative force that wouldn't let City slide. But he hasn't. I expected him to be better. Not the same or a little worse. Nunez has missed sitters yes, but his work rate and goals have all actually mattered. He's also now starting a bit more. When he starts, they look more dangerous. Again, I'm not saying he's the best player ever but I expected more from other players and Nunez has shown improvements from last season to this one. Can't say that for Rashford, Foden, Enzo, Mudryk, etc.

I get Paul's point about Grealish. He was talked about as a superstar in the making for years and years, and it turns out he's a solid, left sided mid-fielder. Technically sound, but not a new Gazza nor Le Tissier. He's not become an unreplaceable talent. City were a great team before he arrived and if there was a difference maker it was Haaland. Meanwhile, Villa carried on as mid-level team over the next two years and have been showing sign of improvement in the last 2. So, whilst he is a good player, the hype he got does stir up an air of disappointment.

If it’s purely based on this season and how I rank disappointment is my expectation vs the reality: it’s pretty easy. 1. Rashford; you expect him to get close to his brilliance last year - he’s been a shambles 2. Grealish; thought he was a regular last year, played every game more or less in the second half of a treble winning season - now is a bench warmer 3. Nunez; I am a Liverpool fan and I expected him to cook this year. He’s been good but he hasn’t been great 4. Mudryk; didn’t expect much other than maybe to kick on this season under poch and he just hasn’t - but I’m not surprised 5. Enzo; I expected him to be good and he’s only been slightly less than good

Enzo has been quality since day 1 of him being at Chelsea, shouldn't even be in this conversation. Only reason he is talked about as a flop so far is because of his lack of G/A, but any footy fan knows that is not the type of midfielder he is and not the type of player we bought him to be. @@ellisphythian7849 if you watch Inside England Training compilations from 2020-present, every break you'll at some point see multiple clips of sideys where Hendo (and Steve Holland/other coaches) is shouting at Jack to cut inside or pass sideways. After years of that, Jack now just does it automatically, so I guess it stuck. I have no idea why the current playstyle at England is that way (seems regressive/archaic/counterintuitive), or why Jack is particularly eager to do what Hendo tells him to do (though one can make educated guesses). Southgate's lot are a mystery🤷‍♂

1. Enzo- Money and hype is way too much considering he's done fuck all for Chelsea other than some pretty passes here and there 2. Rashford- We know he can be a bagsman when he needs to but this season he's been shocking 3. Nunez- Bro will score every 5 months and fans will act like he's about to go on an insane run, the guy simply isn't good enough as a ST, though he does offer a lot in terms of linkup play 4. Mudryk- Lot of money spent but realistically I don't think a lot of people expected a huge amount, also I don't think he's even meant to start in Chelsea's best 11 when everyone's fit 5. Grealish- The most disrespected player in the prem rn, offers so much defensively and in terms of ball retention, he's way better than people make him out to be

What do you expect from Enzo? He’s best attribute is progressing the ball into the final third. Not goal scoring. And if you expected 30 assists from him then you should understand that it’s not his fault that Chelsea’s forwards miss 5 tap-ins a game. Understand the role he plays before trying to analyse his performances. It’s like calling a DM a flop because he has no G/A.

Hardly anyone in comments understands that 'disappointment' doesn't connote 'bad'. Grealish is fine, passable, even good, he's just hasn't remotely lived up to expectations, nor is he great or GOATed like City fans will have you believe. He was not needed for City to win that treble, he was just a cute accessory and show pony to make it more fun and attractive (and goodness knows City need help to be watchable).

So In 63 appearances for Liverpool FC Darwin the "Disappointment" Núñez has 22 Goals and 11 Assists. That's a goal Contribution Every 2 games more or less. I'm sure he's minutes per G/A is even Better. And yes he misses alot of chances and hits the woodwork alot but he's not bad at all, he still affects games. I would say the only thing he's guilty of, is being compared to Erling Haaland by rival fans.

Grealish is the only player who started every final city won last year. How on earth still people thinking he needs to score more? Obviously Pep is fine with him. Great vid. You almost can't judge Chelsea players currently as the club is a complete mess & the owner is a clown. Although Mudryk literally has done nothing but Fernandez will come good in the end imo. Grealish looks quite good doing nothing, Rashford's just fed up of being at a club that's been in crisis for 10 years. Nunez will get 20 goals & 10 assists a season & miss 20 sitters so while he's frustrating he's not disappointing imo.

Jack Grealish is 28 years old. He is supposed to be at his peak. He cost 100 mio pounds and now Man City has bought a better winger in Doku, because they are not happy with Grealish.
