There is a certain twisted flair his songs have. I'm almost scared to see what would happen if he had an animation team for music videos. I want it, but dread it at the same time. That's going to give you some freaky stuff, for sure.

I’ve been listening to this song for YEARS… something about this and a good rest of the album elicit such a strong and specific feeling that I can’t find in most other music. It’s such a nostalgic piece now, and it continues to hold up so well in the span of time❤

@BeautifulSnake1993 That's cuz Renard openly hates commercialization of music, and he makes a lot of sacrifices for that- if he got his music on iTunes, his music would be really effin' popular, and probably rake in large amounts of money for him and Apple. But then again, he seems perfectly content with stickin' his cheapy albums on his own website for our enjoyment... We salute you, Renard.

Carl Gordon Really? I thought of it more as really morbid sex. The "black bile bit" is a tad out of place, but the rest makes me think about a guy who's preying on a girl. Not necessarily rape, but definitely an act of corruption. "Speak to me while you claw at the sky. Faster, faster." That sounds like someone experiencing an orgasm for the first time.

Can someone please reply to me and please explain what this part of the song means because I want to make a PMV of this song BUT I don't want to have the wrong idea of it : at the side of the bed who extends his hand i tell you I'll make you smile i lurch over you and cough up black bile you grip my palm so tight but not too tight, you squeeze just right
@BlueBD8 жыл бұрын
I always thought this song was about rape.. Or murder. could be both. What do you think it means? shouldnt be too far off...
@SolairesBFF8 жыл бұрын
I figure the song's a metaphor for bipolar disorder. "I am the laughing man... who extends his hand... I tell you I'll make you smile" is very manic but also sinister, and "cough up black bile" might be referring to an excess of black bile which (according to the Greek humours) causes depression. "It's been a while, where's this feeling been?" is saying that it's happened before, possibly as part of a cycle. And if the first part is mania, then the 'taking a terrible ride', 'crawling through darkness' and 'dying alone' of the second part is depression. Or you know, maybe it's just a spoopy song.
@ultraaquamarine8 жыл бұрын
I don't think there's such a thing as having a "wrong" interpretation of a song. And if you're making the rest of the PMV based off of your own ideas for what it's about, you should also make that part about whatever you think it is. You know, have it all you
@glassXmoon7 жыл бұрын
Make the interpretation however you want, the meanings of songs vary from person to person. To make an educated guess, and knowing all the other queenstons songs, this one's about murder.
