Another option instead Monster Mud .. is trailer bed spray. They are used for protecting pick up truck trailer beds. So I sprayed it on the drop cloths. A bonus - they are totally fine for the inclement weather … it holds in place very quickly & easy to spray paint over. (I find mixing monster mud is time consuming & wasteful). Spray bed liner works great. (Just suggesting another option )

The spray on bed liner foam holds in place & is very rigid. I find it immensely effective and easier to use then mixing up Monster mud. It’s comes in a spray can and of course is totally water proof (since it’s made to protect pick up truck bed liners ). So just spray it in the position that you want … it’s dries super fast & spray paint it after ! Done

@@TellyRemandecheck my latest comment. Sorry it went to a different message string. It holds in place & is so much easier to use & less heavy once sprayed on. Can find it anywhere. Walmart or Home Depot.

So everyone interested in doing this project, it's pretty fantastic to do. I'm currently in the middle of completing my version but I have a few things to say. If you don't have these scrap materials around it can get quite costly. All things purchased at home depot besides the tools I already had and scrap wood and bucket I had laying around I spent a little over $200 to do this. Just giving a heads because I didn't realize how much things were till I was in the middle of picking up all the materials and wanted to follow through with it. Regardless, when it's done it will be a rewarding project and you can resuse again for next season. Excited to finish this and move on to the next thing! Cheers!

Not to be needy but anyway you could let us know the brands and colors of paint you used, both the gray for the monster mud as well as all the colors for finishing touches on the statue and tombstone sides? And maybe a link for the skeleton you used I’m paranoid I’m gonna get stuff that doesn’t work as well. Lastly does this hold up ok in rain?
@IsaacAlexanderDIY
@IsaacAlexanderDIY Жыл бұрын
I used so many different paints and mixed them together that I couldn’t tell you what colors I m used, it’s up to the creator to come up with whatever color they want. Also, the skeleton I bought are from Home Depot but they sell them in a six pack online so they don’t come individually - unless you buy them in store. You can’t go wrong by mixing different types of grays, browns and greens, it’s supposed to look weathered and old, so it doesn’t really matter what color gray you use.
