Nice catches man! I caught all of those same trains on the Greenville Dist. as well on that day, except I'm in SC.

Very cool you caught them, too! I'm always worried the trains I wanna catch make it here in daylight, because these trains often tie down in Greenville, but it worked perfectly this time.

I have a video from back in 2013 somewhere in storage of a train running on this same line back in 2013...I used to work at the mill across from the highway, that the bridge that crosses over this line goes to. Not sure of the number on the train but it was outrunning me in my car when I filmed it and led by NS 1115 (SD70ACe) and NS 7695 (ES40DC) trailing.
@mbmars013 жыл бұрын
Lol, I can imagine. This line has 60 mph track speed in some sections and the speed limits on the parallel road are less. I rarely manage to chase a train on this line - or one has to travel long distances and use the interstate.
@CrownXR19873 жыл бұрын
I failed to mention I also worked for City of Cornelia too after that Mill Job. Caught a ton of trains on that main line right thru the middle of the city. I used to get nervous when I would mow grass on the small slope across from the Depot when trains would come thru at track speed, and working in or around the trestle just down from the Depot. I don't know if it was just bad luck or what but I always wanted to see one of the special painted units or the Heritage units and never once saw one in the year that I worked for that city. By the way....great videos, I enjoy watching them especially when they jog my memory from that area.

1:11 i think this is the engine that caught this rail fan off guard in St Louis! it was sandwiched behind the 2nd engine! did not even notice the sante fe engine until too late! and St louis is the place to go for anything Sante related. from blue and yellow warbonnets giving it all they got pulling a stack train. to green and yellowish BN engines. then theres your BN green engines. that are hidden in the rail yard in downtown St Louis

@@mbmars01 Railroads be trolololing the railfans / foamers with HUs is my best guess lol. They probably laugh at how many railfans really foam out of over this stuff lol. 🤣 But it also makes modern railfanning somewhat interesting, otherwise it would be boring. I honestly like the short lines and class 2 stuff because you can still see some "vintage" locomotives in service. I assume with ever increasing ludicrous emission standards a lot that will be replaced in the not too distant future. But who knows we might be a smoldering crater soon, as the Globalist American Empire and Western Europe / NATO seems to be trying to provoke WW3 / a nuke war with Russia and China over the Ukraine and Taiwan (as if given the multitude of problems wthin the US I should give a sh!t about Ukraine and Taiwan).

The description to the video should clarify things. There's no such thing like a "fakebonnet". This is a foamers' expression.

@@mbmars01 To me, there is such thing because I grew up on the AT&SF (El Paso Sub. specifically) and saw what real Santa Fe Warbonnets were. Yes, I know about the BNSF inheritance at the merger, but there still is something about authentic Santa Fe Warbonnets versus the BNSF 'bonnets.
