Did anyone else catch the Chicago and northwestern train car and very beautiful quality I would recommend this KZbin channel to any railfan

Occasionally one still gets to see the C&NW cars. I usually make sure I keep them in the videos when editing the footage. Thanks very much for your nice comment. I really appreciate it :)

Excellent "Southern Style" video presentation. You're very good at hand-holding the camcorder!

Haha, "Southern Style" makes perfect sense in multiple ways :) Yeah, I couldn't do what I do with a tripod. I have a very good one, though, but rarely use it.

Hi MBMARS I hope all is well with you. It has been a long time glad to be back watching again. I was surprised a long train going up hill did not have any DPU on the end. Beautiful shots as always I am going to be watching more often. Take care and be well
@mbmars013 жыл бұрын
Yes, thanks, everything's fine with me. I hope you're doing well, too. NS does some crazy things nowadays and it doesn't seem they're running very smoothly in the Atlanta region these days. Take care!

Nice - I can tell it's an EMD SD70 by the horn :) NS 371 working up the grade - very cool indeed! I think the camera you use is awesome - talk about sharp!
@mbmars013 жыл бұрын
One should probably used to it by now, but I found some of the NS trains were extremely long on that day, which contributed to the struggles. I use a Panasonic WXF1 camcorder and I'm happy with it!

6:30 That was the train I previously mentioned that the 2nd unit blew lots of black smoke. It was spectacular! Great catches!
@mbmars013 жыл бұрын
Yes, I thought you meant this one. The ACe was a big smoker and apparently incapable of providing enough juice to help pull the train up the hill.

It's good you can find new locations for us. The new spots are all great. I really like the curve in Hiram and the elevated viewpoint in Braswell. The NS and BNSF locomotives are all huge, there are true heavy duty engines. Thanks a lot for this excellent video. Keep up the fantastic job, your uploads are always much appreciated. :)
@mbmars013 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was the first time I was in this area, but I was out with friends who knew good spots. Most through trains have 4,400hp 6-axle power nowadays, but it was good to see some variation of power. Particularly interesting was the BNSF intermodal 264 with four generations of GE power on it. Great you like the video!
