In the winter of 2012, I was privileged to visit Shirakawa-Go, which seemed to be taken from a tale. Immersed in a landscape of massive mountains and snow-covered forests, I was transported to another time. Tall houses, their steep roofs laden with snow, stood as silent witnesses to the past. Sharp icicles fell from the roofs with menace, while the Shogawa River, flowing alongside, evoked stories and memories of ancient times. Special thanks for the inspiring video
