Wengen village (asl 1274 m), a car-free Alpine/mountain village in the Jungfrau region of Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. We show this beautiful, picturesque alpine village's summer walking and train views in 8K HDR resolution. This holiday resort lies on a wind-protected sun terrace at the foot of the Jungfrau, 400 metres above the Lauterbrunnen valley. Wengen can be reached by Wengernalp cogwheel railway from Lauterbrunnen village or via a cable car from Männlichen. This village is an ideal base for excursions to Jungfraujoch, Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen. Wengen offers amazing panoramic views of Swiss alps and mountains, especially, Jungfrau, Breithorn and Schilthorn. I spent a week in Wengen in the fall of 1971 at the Hotel Eden .. took a cable car ride to Mannlichen peak. Loved the scents of woodsmoke and cow dung mixed together. It was awesome and magical.💖❤️
