That doesn’t have more armor, weapons and other items in their overpriced shop than in the actual game? That doesn’t have clunky controls, terrible animation, glitchy combat? That’s have interesting stuff to find and not just the same 3 different types of loot? That have an open world with life and not just miles of nothing between points of interest that award you with nothing? That have a good story and well written characters? That gives the player a challenge without being badly playtested? That dose t make your screen tear the moment you enter a city? Should I go on? I can do that for you if you need even more reasons as to why Valhalla is a terrible game from start to finish.

After many years of retcon trying to mix something from each era of history into the main story the public lost track of what the hell was happening at all. But the average consumer isn't going to buy $1600 to $2000 dollar graphics cards. I used to upgrade my PC every few years up until the 10 series cards. I still have my 1080ti. It just doesn't make sense to spend so much. Do I want it? Yes. Can I afford it? Also yes. I just cant justify it anymore. Crypto hiked up the prices an insane amount, and even though mining is pretty much dead they never brought the prices back down. That plus inflation.... I just wont do it. I'm sure many are on the same boat as me.

Digital Dreams, you don't have to confide your presentations to strictly 4k or 8k, you use Nvidia's custom resolution! do 7K or 6K, it will look every bit as good as 8k but with flawless framerate. The #1 thing that all the tech channels neglect mentioning is CUSTOM RESOLUTION! you can have the sweet spot for appearance and framerate without the latency and side effects of image scalers...

It's an underrated game. Truly a spectacular game, but unrealistic expectations let it down. But a genuine criticism is that it tries to be everything (the right direction in my opinion), a jack-of-all-trades, and thus it's 2 of a kind (like Odyssey), unique, but that may have been it's con too.

Almost all my games are now reaching CPU limits much more often on a 5120x1440 32:9 Samsung G9 monitor with my 4090 and 12900K. It's a beast. I think I need the 13900K now as my "old" CPU can't keep up. If only I could afford it! Twice as fast consistently when it isn't CPU limited, (compared to my 3080 10G) such as VR latency. I used to get an average of 20ms of latency for 45fps and now I am under the magic number of 11ms whilst getting 10ms of latency for 90fps in DCS. The core GPU clock (when overclocked) even reaches approximately 3200 as well. A monster card! That's not hard to find one, like before. I noticed I peaked at 511 Watts GPU usage yesterday on Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. Does anyone know how I can monitor my GPU VRAM? I used to use GPU-Z but even though it's been updated for the 4090 it has no heat sensor for my VRAM. Strange. I now set my GPU fans to 100% when it reaches 50 degrees Celsius on the main core chip just in case the VRAM gets too hot. I.e. above 85 degrees Celsius.

@@dolaudz3285 I wish. I bought my 4090 with credit and most of my other PC parts. I had a i9-9900K before on a small B360M 8th Gen motherboard. If they will allow me to get the i9-13900K on credit, I will, hopefully. That low-end motherboard wasn't too bad apart from it's one slow direct SSD slot and almost zero capability to overclock the CPU as the motherboard heated up too high according to the temperature sensors.

Hi! :) GPUZ is the only one I know of that tells you your vram temps. I thought the 4090 could only go up to 495 watts? Be careful as a lot of people are complaining about melted cables. Make sure it's plugged in all the way and monitor the plugs temperature.

Honestly it was the graphics that made me purchase this game and tbh it was going smooth at first but then after a point things just become dull and everything feels just so low and lifeless. These things pulls down the experience so much that the graphical achievement feels redundant and overshadowed. You feel this more if you have played the early Assassin's creed games. After that moment you just lose the excitement and things just becomes dull.

Honestly, it's same 1080p quality with ultra-graphics, just the resolution became higher and more detailed in 8K.

I was very disappointed by this game, I did not like it (thank you ubisoft). But some things marked me like the music, the landscape and the immersion (without the bugs) which are just incredible, I would remember.

It was pretty. RDR2 is still the reigning champion though. The lighting for the day and night cycles in Valhalla still needs work. They’re barely discernible and shouldn’t be.

When moving from Odyssey to Valhalla, actual difference is eyesight straining, why? Because Odyssey has mountains view, hills views, valley of smaller forests which is easy for eyesight when playing without tilting the camera upwards most often, yet Valhalla is all about dense forests 🌳 with less landscapes and you can never tilt the camera upwards or else losing your short view of ground scenery
