Clean your machine! That video has lots of stationary splotchiness. That isn't on the film obviously, it is on your machine.

I have. One that I found out of Hollywood was about 150k. A bit too much for me. The other I found was around 5k which was much more reasonable but after the add-ons, it got to be much more. I can't remember the name but it was a small company and there were no reviews on it. Plus, I think I would have to get two, one for 8mm and one for super 8mm and I don't think that it did sound. I think that by the time I did enough transfers with it to make my money back I would be on the verge of retirement! To be very honest, I feel that the two scanners I use do a pretty good job and I never have had a complaint. People really love the end result and that is what matters the most. The typically watch the film once or twice and then it is shelved. Sad but true. Thank you for your comment and the compliment on one of my very first videos I did for this channel!

What was the cloth you used and recommended and what solution do you use ISA or a professional film cleaning solution likr Film Restorer or Filmguard??

The cloth are Pec Pads and the solution I use is called Pec 12. I purchased them both on Amazon. Both are for professional film cleaning, they work great! You just need a few drops on the pad. Please subscribe if you have not already! I'm making a lot of videos for the channel. All are quirky and fun but educational!

@@TheMediaNerdMT Thanks for your very quick reply. I do need to purchase a film winder so I can run from one spool to the other, while cleaning in between them. I used to own a Goko film editor, which would have done the job, but I got rid of it along with my movie projectors about 12 years ago. What is available that is not too expensive. I only have Super 8 silent film.
