Wow this brings back memories. I remember Shentons Old Mill in South Perth right next to the Narrows, The Kwinana Freeway had a slight dip in it because of the Meckering earthquake, and who remembers the Swan Brewery ships lit up at night?
@fyiaustralia96864 жыл бұрын
@blue heeler there were 3 of them - old clipper, the Swan ship and something else...

I really do miss the old Perth. Wasn't very action packed but it was our little thing. Lots of sun and room. Very few hassles. Clean air. Great crabbing, prawning, fishing, surfing...

I mean, it's still got clean air and lots of sun and room.

Ha ha yeah remember when going to Mandurah was a big deal and really felt like a long way?
@silentdogfart4892 Жыл бұрын
@@psychedelicprawncrumpets9479 my grand parents lived in Rockingham. Back roads and country road the whole way. It was a day trip there and back. Most of Mandurah was bush. Holiday homes on islands in the estuary. Great times

@@silentdogfart4892 yeah I miss those summer days, crabbing with a scoop and an esky tied up dragging behind then prawns skipping under the old traffic bridge

My grandparents lived in tin shacks near the old abandoned building in freo cos they weren’t allowed to progress through white society on their own native land. But anyways.

aww the old windmill, was that demolished or relocated. And the ship lights on the swan brewery were a highlight of my childhood. Love to know why they were there in the first place and why'd they get removed? ☮️😎

Rotto should have been left like that. It is now so comercialised that you may as well spend the day on the mainland. They have ruined Rotto.
