I have been following 8rain station for a few months now. Been planning on trying them out, especially now that I have been limited, making arbing difficult. 8rain station looks good for +EV betting.

The plays on the station are different than OddsJam which since it isn’t as popular as OK right now is an advantage to you no doubt!

what did you decide? i'm on a trial now too. I made $12 yesterday from placing ~36 bets lol $200 a month seems pricey, like i'm not sure i'll even profit enough consistently each month at this rate

I’m going to keep both but my reason is to give you and other subs more content and visuals into these tools. I understand where you’re coming from and trust me I’ve had days like that where you put in a ton of bets and win or lose less than $15 it’s maddening at times.

@@BillyC24 what do you think about these settings? $1000 bankroll, 0.25 Kelly, next 7 days, minimum 2% ev, max of +150. I'm placing every bet I can. (36 yesterday, have 42 today already) but I'm placing $2-10 per bet. On a free trial at the moment so just weighing pros/cons. I kind of wish I could live bet but if this pays off then that's fine too. Any thoughts? My actual bankroll is closer to $2-2.5k but I'm giving this a fair 7 day trial and estimating proift that way before committing (I'm aware could just have a bad week but still..)

I like the settings and your approach. I maintain that you could make anywhere between a 2 to 10% return EV betting per month depending on the total amount that you wager so if you wager $10,000 in a month you can make $200 or up to $1k I’ve had months where I’ve made under 2% and obviously I’ve also had losing months. So yesterday if you had 36 bets and placed $10 on every bet that’s $360 a $12 profit is 3.3% ROI for the day and that falls in line where I would expect it to be.

Hey Billy. Good stuff as usual, i was going to give it a try for 2500 for a year but now its 3600?? Thats crazy. Am I maybe missing something like a tier or something or did it just go up that much? Do you know ? Thanks

I don’t think you’re missing anything but a lot of platforms will be increasing their prices because we are now hitting the NFL season and from now until April is really primetime betting so that would be the indication. Also, I know that he’s made a lot of enhancements and updates so that would be another reason.

He doesn’t, the software has been out for four months so I’m hopeful down the road he will be able to offer a free trial. Stop by the live stream tomorrow at 5:30 PM Eastern time I’m going to be hitting up some plays using the software so you’ll get a chance to see what it looks like.

It really has very little value to be able to set your own weights, what matters is that they are well calibrated...a.k.a. predictive. Why does it matter that I take some "bad" weights, and change them for other weights that are "to my liking"? What we need to know is how accurate are the predictions in one software vs the other.

I hear what you’re saying, this is the first tool I’ve come across that gives you that flexibility to change the weightings and have an understanding of how you’re determining the fair odds. I feel it matters because removing the books that are bad eggs can help calculate your true edge. Would love to see a model that compares the station, OddsJam and OddsChecker against each other.

@@BillyC24 I get what you mean, yeah, in that sense I agree. I think, until proven otherwise, we should assume these models are no better than random. Or rather...no better than pinnacle!

His live streams are awesome! I’m hopeful he adds those books as well. He launched in January so I know this software is still in the infant stages and has a lot of room to improve.

I know it’s not cheap, I think as they continue to grow they’ll be able to offer some different price points. I’ll be live streaming and hitting some plays on there so come by this Friday 3PM EST I’ll be going through OJ and The Station snagging some plays.
