here is the full video of my Kyosho and Hyper. I may or may not have had quite a substantial brain fart earlier and only uploaded half the video. big face palm!

Hey Steve, I've just seen Kev's last video where your pinion came off. I've been trying to tell Kev forever how to fix that problem but he's never seen my comments 🙄 Thought I'd tell you, there's more chance of you reading this. It's simple really, drill and tap the pinion to 5mm, use a 4.2mm drill bit, drill the old thread out and retap with a 5mm tap, order some stainless 5mm flat bottom grub screws 4mm in length off eBay, then you can use a 2.5mm allen key instead of a 2mm. Then run a 5mm drill bit through the center to get any bits out. You can really crank them down plus you don't need loctite. I've been doing it for years on my X maxx my Kraton every pinion I have is 5mm thread now. Never ever come loose. It's probably the best mod to an rc you can do I'm my opinion. Anyway. Hope you read this and pass on the tip 👍 sweet cars by the way 🤘🤘

Hey Steve! Those things look like absolute beasts! One note though mate, your audio on the last couple of vids is really low. Can barely hear about all the cool upgrades. Love your cars! And Tiny!

Thanks for sharing Steve 🙂 It was fun to have Tiny do a video the other day 😁, that kid is funny 🤣😂 Any advice on upgrading a 1/8 BSD-Racing Flux Marauder? It's what I could afford to get back into the hobby, runs on 4s, 3200kv motor with a Hobbywing sc8 something ESC. It's not the quickest... And I think it has a lot of plastic in the drive line. Stay safe.
@8ssteve9944 жыл бұрын
Cheers buddy, you stay safe too. One of the first and cheapest mods you can do is the diff oils, about 3k weight in the rear, 8k in the front 40k+ in the centre. You will get better handling and more wheelies, after that you could go for a hobbywing max8 combo for the option of 6s
@markhorsburgh39894 жыл бұрын
@@8ssteve994 thanks for that. I lost a wheel nut on the last run a couple of weeks ago, so I'll have to pull my finger out and get parts ordered. I actually bought this truck off another KZbinr, search for the model name, and you'll find it very quickly... used to have a black GMC Top Kick shell on it 😉. He says it has 1/2 million weight in all the diffs. So I'll try the weights you've suggested, thanks. The max8 and 6s will have to wait for now, furlough sucks ☹️.

Hey 8s Steve, is a wheelie bare with 1 wheel or 2 wheels better?
@8ssteve9944 жыл бұрын
Both are cool in my opinion, 2 wheel can be more stable though

G’day Steve all the way from Australia! Do you mind if I tickle your brain with a question? I have a arrma kraton 6s. And I’d love to get into bashing but I can’t find any info on how I should set my spring/shocks up. Should I be going a soft setup for jumping or a stiff setup? Super appreciate your videos and knowledge! Keep up the great work
@8ssteve9944 жыл бұрын
Greetings buddy, I would personally go fairly sort for better handling, you would never be able to stop chassis slapping the floor. So go for handling 👍

Hi steve just thinking,do you glue your own tires and if so. Have you considered ducktaping the inside of them to stop them pancaking into pizza cutters. Ive done a set of mine as a test dab of glue just to hold incase it didnt work. However it worked a treat dude. So ive glued them up properly. Just wondering as you tear your tires to bits and it gets away from fishing wire around outside. One loop of tape on inside of tires glue it if you want too and its saved me loads.

I have done a couple of sets of my sct tires but nothing bigger as yet, does seem to work pretty well, cheers bud
