Very devastating to hear that Garey passed. I took many lessons with him in the Yakima, WA area. He was also the teacher of my teacher, so much of his playing and teaching philosophy is carried on through me. Even had the pleasure of seeing Garey live a number of times with EIN. What an experience! Each time I have sat at the kit since learning of his passing, I have thought about Garey and played some of my favorite Garey licks. I am just one student of many that Garey touched and formed a lasting impression and influence on as a musician, but more importantly, as a person. His playing shall live on through me and many more. Thank you, Garey.

@@billakis2000 His death was sudden and unexpected. He had a silent heart attack with no symptoms or health conditions. It was a sock to all of us!
