Winterss SEO Regarding the number of psyhcic powers magnus knows: Usually "and", "or", "and/or" at the end of a comma separated list specify how the listing works. So Magnus would know a total of 3 and not 6 psychic powers.

Quick question: does this codex contain the likes of mutilators, obliterators, etc and other chaos units non specific to Thousand suns or is it only Thousans sons units contained within?

Mutalith in spear head detachments could be very popular. First thought is one 8-9 inches behind 2 land raiders either empty or carrying passenger's with warp flame gargoyles. Expensive screen. Secondly is 3 Mutalith in a triangle formation roughly 8-9 inches apart wrapped by cultists or the like to run interference against deep striking units trying to assault them.

He always had the re-roll hit rolls of 1 in addition to Invulnerable saves. This codex hits Magnus with the nerf bat hard (then again he needed it, be in your face turn 1 and be hard as a Titan to damage while murdering everything within reach).

I think we were told that magnus would know more than 3 psychic powers, so I'd guess that magnus knows 3 from each discipline, otherwise that is really dumb giving the best tabletop psyker in 40k the same amount of powers as other lesser psykers

Sounds like Magnus knows smite plus 3 powers that can be taken from up to two lists. I'd need to see the specific writing, but from how you read it out, that's my take

The Rubric was casted on the Planet of Sorcerors, so why on Holy Terra would Marines brought back from that be loyal? And it wasn't that they'd just arrived there either. Magnus almost died from his "soulshattering experience" after a good while of library building and brooding, Ahriman and Amon even fixed him up a good bunch and he declares that they'll go for Terra itself with Horus (because of some spoilers), and assumedly only after that having gone wrong they came back, Ahriman casts the Rubric and gets banished.

Quick question if you use chaos as the keyword for army building and not thousand sons this covers all aspects from renegades to daemons to death guad and marines meaning you can have a mixed battleforged army? Thart what i domi use a single chaos brigade detachment, with marines daemons and fallen, all units that can are night lords

Warr Venom you can mix anything with the CHAOS keyword in 1 army. If you throw everything in 1 brigade however, you do not get access to stratagems & Legion traits. You need a detachment with ONLY Night Lords units if you want to use their stratagems and trait. A single brigade with Renegades, Night Lords and Daemons would be legal, but you would only be able to use the 3 stratagems from the rulebook.

Not sure why they're trying to tear apart Chaos undivided into separate pieces. Maybe Khorne and Slaanesh will get new codexes and if so I'm not sure what the point of the chaos marines codex is in the first place.

how are they tearing undivided apart? there are still 5 legions classed as undivided. People have wanted these armies for so long now and have been even more hopeful since the khorne daemonkin book was a thing but they've really gone the whole hog and gone with the legion books. They are already 3/4 through the roll in age of sigmar so fingerscrossed we get an emperor's children and world eaters book in the future.

Magnus is now 445, no longer rerolls invul of 1, but rerolls psychic rolls of 1, now only 2D6 smites on a 12+, everything else unchanged.

i think the only thing this book has going for it is all the physic powers...vortex beast seems meh..biggest let down is taking away rerolling inv saves of 1...who cares about rerolling hits of 1. good review winters and i will defiantly be taking a pass on this army.

I think he may have misspoken, because he said there were 3 weapon relics (the seers bane, the Coruscator and the prismatic staff) but we already knew that there were two other relics previously shown, 1 in the faction preview (Dark matter crystal) and 1 from chapter approved (Athenaean scrolls) and then he mentioned a 6th relic (the helm of the third eye) so in all that's the same amount of relics as the death guard

I've been playing 40k for years and after being inspired by yourself and a load of other "KZbinrs" as well as making a promise to a friend (I can't break a promise) I've just started filming battle reports (you've seen my first one, thanks for the comments). In the name of good journalism you should be declaring not only that you got this early but that you got it free, which explains why in all these reviews you fail to mention the enormous amounts of recycled content from previous editions, the very small amount of new content other than the 8th specific rules, and the poor quality of 8th edition codexes when it comes to proof reading.

Errata is very present in every codex. While it is preferred that they proof-read their stuff first before release, the next best thing is the FAQ/Errata page which gets updated quickly than what it used to be.

That's the first thing he States in the video. He mentions the date of it's release which is a future date and thanks the workshop and other members of the community for getting it to him so these videos can be made. Or did you not understand the first 35 seconds

Like the Grey Knights, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Deathwatch, some Chaos Space Marine legions provide what is exclusive to them and them alone outside of troop exclusives.
