We can use the data from a frequency table to create a relative frequency table. First, we need to understand how to determine the joint relative frequencies and marginal relative frequencies in the table. Joint relative frequency is found by dividing a frequency, that is not in the total row or total column, by the grand total. Marginal relative frequency is found by dividing a row total, or a column total, by the grand total. We walk-through the steps of taking the given data from a frequency table and creating a relative frequency table.
