I love it....keep your head up 100. You make your alumni proud!!!! You are finally returning to the days of Dr. Foster. I remember Victor Gaines, the dirty dozen, the rattler steps, the death March, the bring it off, the patch, Say lala, stellar funk and the best rendition of Anita Bakers Sweet Love ever. FAMu marching 100 is more than a college band, but it represents an institution of higher learning for blacks in Florida who couldn't attend anywhere else. The band is an effective recruiting tool for the university thus making FAMu the largest HBCU in which other HBCUs are suffering with enrollment issues. Alumni don't lose focus by people who envy us and "hate" on this great band. We, Famu rattlers, must remember we are fighting to just exist in Florida where some folks wish we would shut down!!! Fred Humphries needs to come back in the wings and help our new President navigate these mine fields. Support our school with the 10 for 10. But let's all encourage our fellow rattlers to NEVER forget who they represent and never make the mistake of hazing again. We are all over the world....and we are Rattler deep and strong. FAMU gave me the opportunity to become The Doctor I am today. I will never forget that!!

Coming from a current marching wildcat and a marching 100 fan, I am still not impressed by their shows YET. They are improving year by year but its just not there yet, but we have to stop comparing this 100 with the old 100. Its never gonna be like that again. This is a new breed. Also, I feel that every field show has its flaws, so we cannot bash both bands regardless of what school we come from, it does nothing but causes tension between the bands. In my opinion, these two bands are the BEST in all HBCU's

As a Southern University band fan, I have to say that I wish the best to FAMU because I was always impressed with their program. Back in the 90's leading to 2000 they were a halftime show and program to watch. Again I cant wait to see what they turn in to.

Personally, I think FAMU is not there yet in terms of sound because my mom is an alumni and i am a current attendee of FAM so I KNOW FAMU sound, so they do need work on that. But, I think that they will definitely get bigger and better and when that happens, watch out. They had 50 members there first year back. THEY WILL return. Also, BC was great as well. I think they don't have quite the presence that FAMU has though because BC had the better sound and they are twice the size as FAM but they still couldn't drag FAM. That shows me that when FAMU gets back to full force, all other bands need to watch out because BC is one of the best bands around and couldn't drag the 100.. Nevertheless, great show for both bands and FAMU it's a joy to see you doing your thing.

We were doing Animations Looonngg before anyone else. Didnt even matter what kinda numbers we had. Thats how innovative Dr. William P. Foster was. Well said CMAC. Nowadays it's hard to find any band that quote unquote, is above all the others. Even before Florida a&m's unfortunate incident, when they were marching three to fourhundred, their only distance from other bands was manifested in their large size only. Other bands have grown exponentially. That, in my opinion, is why they put on more numbers, in their attempt to keep an ever diminishing advantage. I do believe that envy is at the root of the dismantling of their marching band.
