Corrected Comment: Min terms ought to comprise only the input variables S2, S1 and S0 of the Truth Table. If so, then why is it that in yourr expression forr Y (Comprising Sum of 8 Products) that the input variables are ANDED with I0, I2, ....., I7 in each of the terms in Y ? Shouldn't each term in yourr SOP have only 3 variables ? I could be wrong, nevertheless would appreciate yourr clarification in this regard.

but what I know is that if you start your inputs from i0 to i7, you should've had the selectors from Least Significant to Most Significant, which means s0, s1, s2. Am I correct? because if you had them this way from MS to LS then you would've had to rearrange your inputs.

Its like a switch for the circuit.. If you switch off the circuit i.e. when enable = 0, the circuit will not work as anything ANDed with 0 is 0.. Therefore we have to switch on the circuit i.e. enable = 1 so that the circuits works..
