You are SPOT ON when it comes to your attitude towards phones/electronics and your family...keep it up! My kids are "first gen" electronic kids and they are good kids...but I can see HUGE impact from phones/electronics. My son, when he got in trouble would be a shell of himself on them, and we would "ground him" with removing phone priviledges...and he would IMMEDIATELY become a more attentive, better, nicer human being and interact with us within minutes....we haven't seen the end of what phones/electronics will do to us all....

Yup same here. We ran and played blocks from home, unsupervised. Until the streetlights came on. We ran or walked everywhere. Few kids were fat or chubby. But even they could run for blocks too.No allergies or ADHD. No play dates ir day care. We were able to make decisions for ourselves and our actions, wether good or bad. Buy Moms spanked with belts if you were bad, so we learned right from wrong and consequences for our actions. If Mom said Im gonna tell your Fad when he gets home from work you really messed up. No kne wanted a slanking from their Dad. There was no blaming others, we were responsible. And we learned self-control and found ways to have fun. Climbing trees, playing baseball in the street inbetween cars. We used tennis balls, so no windows got broke. Red light green light, with a big oak tree for base. Catching lightning bugs in jars. Sledding down any hill in winter. Snow ball fights and snow forts. So much imagination and cooperatively playing with other kids, learning social skills too. Tag your it, and run!

18:20 the constant on the dot lease renewal increases of substantial amounts killed renewing for me when I was a renter and probably does for a lot of people. Of course cost of living cost of material etc has to be considered and one cannot expect $500 a month for the next 15 years but I am talking about when they want to increase the rent $100 - $150 every 6 months as they did in the market I was in. You had to be willing to shop around at every single renewal like it was car insurance or you'd be paying above market after 18 months for the privilege of not having to move your stuff. Not saying you do that but sharing an experience of mine.

I am a female that works on my old house, or houses, and I watch your videos to inspire me to work, and maybe try new ways to do things. I’m also artistic, and have been drawing again, writing some poetry, and other creative things. I appreciate you and what you do. You’re doing great as a husband and father. I’m so happy you are putting the family first. Things have been getting so weird in society, and what you’re talking about is so very important. I wish I knew a family like yours in real life and not KZbin world. I bring things up and people look at me like I have 3 heads. Not 2. Anyways, much love to you and family. Oh, and my son gave me a Mother’s Day card. It said I’m really good at working on the house and I’m a good painter, since that seems all I’ve been doing last 3 years. I told them I need to try to spend more time not on the house and with them, but I think my son likes learning how to do things when watching. I was even teaching my daughter about why and how to glaze old windows, and historic preservation. I wanted to try to put videos up on KZbin, but not sure how to edit that isn’t to boring, and never got a following. I do post more on instagram. I think if you say you’re a male on the grams you get more inappropriate things. Instagram will never remove these inappropriate pages. So just block and move on. Hopefully in the future I can try to support your page more. I love videos with knife carvings and anything creative. I also wood burn, like art with pyrography, and I haven’t worked on that in over a year. So, need to not work as hard and do fun things. Ok, take care.

I like the progress of the house. I hope you find that perfect person wanting to be there longer than one year. Moving is not easy and expensive. For the Kitchen, since there is limited storage space, additional cabinets on top of the cabinets would be nice; if it is a family renting, they do need the extra space. I can see a family with two small children living there and staying for years to come. The land around the house is inviting for kids to play and have a long time at home.
