The acting man. Gave me chills. Idk if anyone would recognise him, but Mr.Han here showcased a master class in acting

Kenneth Choi is such a fantastic actor. He brings so much heart, passion and emotion to this character. The show would NOT be the same without him.

This is exactly why Postpartum Depression needs more active awareness as it affects young mothers more than we know….. Some go undiagnosed, some do get diagnosed and Maddie in fear of hurting her baby shows how truly painful it is to see someone you love suffering PPD….. My heart is broken for Chim because I know he truly loves Maddie and now he’s a single father with no clue where Maddie is or how she’s doing….. I have loved JLH since Party of Five and her vulnerability she brings to her characters is amazing and I’m so proud of her for bringing the spotlight to Postpartum Depression and how it affects families physically, emotionally and mentally……

P-R-E-A-C-H! I had it...and it's no joke. Glad someone is putting it out there in a very realistic way.

Postpartum can affect any parent, moms, dads, those who are neither. It’s a parents condition not just a mothers. It’s a serious thing and the people who go through it need our help.

The way he acted this out! I was crying through the whole scene. I could feel his confusion, loss and desperation. You could even see the self-blame in this scene. I am so glad that Chimney doesn’t hate Maddie. Postpartum depression isn’t easy and you can’t get over it like a common flu. It’s not easy at all for Maddie right now and she made her decision thinking she was doing the right thing for everyone. It’s great that Chimney isn’t giving up on her though. He’s doing what he feels is right to help her and keep his family together.

I had my youngest son at age 44 and went through a minor case of PPD; especially since I was an older mom. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious. My amazing son is now 10. And as a mom, I'm so glad that the writers are putting PPD into awareness as PPD should never be taken lightly and that it can seriously affect women both emotionally and physically; especially if they have existing mental issues such as depression. Is anyone aware of who Andrea Yates is? If you don't then please research this name. She had a very serious case of Postpartum Psychosis and sadly, it didn't end well. It was huge breaking news at the time. PPD is REAL and should NEVER be taken lightly. My heart goes out to both Chim and Maddie, but she did the right thing as she knew Jee wasn't safe with her. She knew she needed help and treatment. I know she'll be back when the time is right and after she gets the help she needs. She loves Chimney and Jeeyun, plus we all know she's on maternity leave in real life. Plus the holidays are just around the corner. I'm sure the writers will make the holidays a happy event. Love this show and the actors! Have watched every show since day 1.

I am so glad to hear you’re doing well, I hope that a year on everything with you and your son is still good. You sound like an awesome mom. My sister in law went through minor PPD when she had her daughter and it was so hard to watch. To be honest I’m not very close with her anyway and didn’t know how to help her or my brother, but now my niece is 4 and she and her mother are doing amazingly. My niece is my favourite person in the whole world. PPD does need to be talked about more often. So many young moms and dads are affected by it.

"There was a giraffe on Hollywood Boulevard!" I'm sorry. I know our sweet Chimney is sad and confused and I was tearing up a bit here, but that one line is pretty funny

Really good acting. We need more Asian actors that aren't nerds or Kung Fu specialists. This is great.

I do think this storyline is one of the more realistic storylines with PPD. Many don’t dig deep enough which is also the case with other mental illnesses portrayed on television. At least that’s my opinion. 😊

Well, when you have Postpartum Depression, you have no idea what you’re doing because it affects you, your family physically, emotionally and mentally….. Maddie wasn’t in her right mind and she did what she thought was best for the safety of her daughter….. Even though in real life Jennifer Love Hewitt is on Maternity Leave, she brings the vulnerability to her character and bringing spotlight to Postpartum Depression because it affects mothers more than we realize….
@Rosannasfriend3 жыл бұрын
She’s trying to protect the baby, and she has no control over her emotions or her brain right now. Instead of criticizing that you need to try and applaud that. There are lots of mothers that do drastic things and end up hurting their babies. Or neglecting their babies.
