You forgot to mention that you can avoid the problems of Remote ID by flying craft that weigh less than 250g. So long as these craft are flown for recreational purposes they don't need registration nor Remote ID. And don't get to cocky about the changes made to the original NPRM, those goals are still the "end game" and they will come, especially Network RID. Just search the final rule for the phrase "at this time" and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Welcome Bruce! I remembered about the 250g limit after I had already published the video.... Can I claim early senility? lol The FAA can try and implement Network ID but, we simply don't have the infrastructure in place to make that happen. Especially, in our rural areas. I know of places here in Texas that are so remote, local ISP's don't have the budget to build the infrastructure to serve those areas. There are funds from the government to help offset the costs but, they are making it very difficult to access those funds without strings attached (naturally). So I remain eternally optimistically, pessimistic! Thanks for your comment and for watching!!!

No one has a right, especially a government agency, whether in public or not, to force a citizen to wave their constitutionally protected rights (1st, 4th, 5th, 6th Amendments) and submit to, without probable cause and/ or a 4th Amendment warrant, government tracking, surveillance, and control of a citizens private movements while enjoying a business or hobby, all while collecting and recording evidence that can, and will be used against a citizen in any FAA prosecution against them. And, in most cases, forcing a citizen to pay for the surveillance equipment that will be used against them. Private air-space and the use thereof, is regulated by the landowner, not the FAA! Are FRIA's an unconstitutional overreach when applied to "private property"? “The air, like the sea, is by its nature incapable of private ownership, except in so far as one may actually use it. This principle was announced long ago by Justinian. It is in fact the basis upon which practically all of our so-called water codes are based. We own so much of the space above the ground as we can occupy or make use of, in connection with the enjoyment of our land. This right is not fixed. It varies with our varying needs and is coextensive with them. The owner of land owns as much of the space above him as he uses, but only so long as he uses it. All that lies beyond belongs to the world. When it is said that man owns, or may own, to the heavens, that merely means that no one can acquire a right to the space above him that will limit him in whatever use he can make of it as a part of his enjoyment of the land. To this extent his title to the air is paramount. No other person can acquire any title or exclusive right to any space above him. Any use of such air or space by others which is injurious to his land, or which constitutes an actual interference with his possession or his beneficial use thereof, would be a trespass for which he would have remedy. But any claim of the landowner beyond this cannot find a precedent in law, nor support in reason”. Hinman v. Pacific Air Transport (9th Cir). 1936), 84 F.2d 755 also cited in United States v. Causby, 328 U.S. 256 (1946) Why would any red blooded American acquiesce to the FAA's unconstitutional horse crap? Can you say Stockholm Syndrome?

Ok I’ve been out a few years but want to get back into it. Question …what’s a module? Last I recalled theres the servos the battery and the receiver so what’s this module? Last type receiver unit I bought was the spectre with allowed me to have several planes on the one transmitter but things change so what’s this module thing…? I own 20 acres outright and have my own runway and facilities here in kansas out in a rural setting. I gave up on being insured by AMA due to the fact that there’s no way to cause any damage to here. I mean RURAL REALLY RURAL! Can I get any feedback on this question and any other updates on the hobby would be helpful.TJH

The module refers to a Remote ID Broadcast Module that the FAA, is now requiring on all unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) over 250grams. This includes fixed-winged RC planes, quads (drones) and helicopters. The module is an add-on and broadcasts a signal during flight of your GPS coordinates and who the UAS is registered to as well as, where you take off and land at. Think of being tracked. The module is supposed to have the ability to be moved from aircraft to aircraft. Now, if you only fly at a club field, like an AMA field, you don't have to equip your aircraft with the module. You may be the lucky one by living way out in the boonies on 20 acres. (no one to bother you). In your situation, you'll have to make your own choice on complying or not. Thanks for commenting and for watching!!!

Define hazardous manner cause I don’t My thing is onboard video recording around my property or views of the nearby lake or my seeing what my neighbors are doing with their properties and their upgrades.

Hazardous manner is the total opposite of how you described how you are flying.

This really is the biggest problem and why the FAA is not doing a good job at all in this roll out of remote Id. By giving us this date and then turning around and saying oh well now it's gonna be pushed back while it's great for people who haven't been able to get there modules yet, for the people that have shoveled out the hundreds of dollars to get there drones legal are going to look at these rules as a big joke. By the time they do have to comply they are not going to take any of it seriously. And to be honest why should they they did everything they were supposed to shoveled out a ridiculous amount of money just to find out that the FAA can't even keep there word on a date. Or there gonna wait till prices fall! These rules will never be taken seriously and this will ultimately end up failing.

EVERY Hobbyist, operator, pilot , breaks every FAA rule the second they leave the ground, regardless of what they fly, where they fly and with or without RID, LOS or FPV or BVLOS or simply refuse to fly safe . BUT when we Fly Safe we MUS break the FAA rules to do so . Read the terminology, and it is a simple read and a simple understanding of that fact. Just the words MUST KEEP the Aircraft in LOS throughout the ENTIRE FLIGHT, shows how inept the FAA is about the hobby and how we ALL break that rule THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE FLIGHT. because if our eyes are on the craft every second, we become Unsafe in seconds. same goes for the Spotter/Observer rule where it says the same thing about them. SO if that Spotter/Observer is doing their job and doing it correctly and safely they CAN NOT Keep the aircraft in LOS Throughout the Flight or else they are inept at their job and being unsafe. How can we ( or a spotter/observer - air boss - safety coordinator- whatever ) scan the skies as we are told to do by the FAA and also keep the aircraft in LOS ? How can one be safe and watch others in the pattern IF we are keeping our own craft in LOS throughout the entire flight ? How can a FPV pilot keep their craft in LOS throughout the flight ? We already know the spotter/observer -safety coordinator, etc etc can't if they do their job and do it safely...SO Here we are, ALL Criminals and Rogues that Rich Hanson called us in 2018 simply because the majority do not belong to a CBO or operate in "their programming" ( which btw IS membership as they all are membership based Organizations ) and will NEVER Fly in a FRIA ( CBO club field /location ) and the fact NONE of us keep any of our aircraft in LOS Throughout the entire flight That also shows how foolish and inept those who claim to speak for Hobbyists sat idly by as the FAA created those ignorant rules and did NOTHING to correct it . NOW RID is a surveillance tool. It's ONLY Purpose ( like registration) is to see how many will obey the nonsense and it is a precursor for NETWORK surveillance so If or When the Commercial Industry demands that particular space they will MOVE and or REMOVE everything else from that area. But again the AMA is still demanding ALL recreational folks fly ONLY in FRIA's and be FORCED to become a member of a CBO ( theirs especially ) SO these next 5 years will be a TEST, a TRIAL, and as it progresses the FAA ReAuth Act will be adjusted to insure everything gets in line to those facts. We already see very FEW in this community who will stand up and be heard and we see the Big Name YT Guru's already saying they will comply , period. SO when the ones with big followings and large views etc bow in line and many follow suit. the RID Network will have won and the Hobby near an end. ONLY through the majority of Hobbyists STOP Registering and do NOT buy RID modules OR Drones with it already installed ( mostly DJI stuff and ALL module makers ) and make them and other companies and the Government take a hit in their bottom lines and they take notice to that fact. Otherwise the Hobby is indeed DEAD and every citizens rights lost yet again. I ask every RC Aviation Community member, just how many more RIGHTS and FREEDOMS are you willing to allow the Government and their bureaucracies to take away from you before you say enough is enough??!!!
