So here it is ;) I'm working the next "usual video", but I was away for a few days( I had a few days off), so it's gonna take a bit longer to finish. Thanks for supporting us water boys!! 😂 To decrease queue times "Drastically" turn ON "JOIN BATTLE IN PROGRESS" This rarely has a large impact on a battle as ships don't generally get to far from spawn in the first few minutes.

I used to play about a year ago and man that hud in the top left threw me off, but after you explained it, it made so much more sense and I think that's supper useful! Also never knew about the "ranging shot", I've always wanted to shoot them one turret at a time like World of Warships, but didn't think I could. I've been craving naval battles of some variety lately after playing a aircraft carrier game and learning about WWII naval engagements, so now that I just saw this video, I think I know where the rest of my day is going lol. So THAT is how you fire individual shots! Never investigated the naval keybinds, so I've always wondered. I probably won't play naval for a long time, if ever, but when I do, I will return here for a refresher. One day, being an Italian main with no tanks or aircraft to grind will push me into the trees I have yet to touch. On that day, the limits of my sanity will truly be tested.

To get crew 100% is with crew skills just level up the skill

To be specific, it's the "crew interchangability" skill

You need to Ace the crew to get 100% (on top of maxed out 'crew interchangeability'). Without Aced I'm getting 98%.

To reach 100%, you must completely upgrade the crew skill "crew interchangeability" and Reach ACE crew This is more important in ships with large crew. Smaller crewed ships (or coastal) rarely benefit much from this skill.

Ok i recently watched your guided german bomb video in naval, and was wondering why you didnt instantly start repairing, firefighting and pumping at the same time. I honestly thought naval was super neglected, but the fact the completion time of all tasks lengthens, and the crew move to the damged areas of the ship amazes me. I always tryied to target seperete parts of the ship but ig i should try to pummel the damaged parts. Really thank you for this tutorial lol

Damaging different parts of the ship is also a great strategy if you want to drain the crew faster 😉

0:29 Wooooow! Thats cool! I didn't know you could do that. But, I am still learning the controls and tuning them. I got it as good as I think possible on xbox but, pc is way more difficult. But, since I can assign them to whatever I want makes ez. Just not the movement aspect. Only weapons controls and targeting. Movement controls are just fine stock.

For anyone thinking of trying naval after this: I think it is really fun but I HIGHLY recommend arcade over realistic. Because SL rewards are so good in realistic, there are a lot of botters in meta ships. In arcade you will see a wider variety of ships and also the queue times tend to be better. Doesn’t really change the gameplay a huge amount either.

Great vid! One thing, unrepairable flooding can occur in and ship with a large ship damage model. Essentially anything the size of a frigate and bigger.

I love using Ranging Shot as my primary way of firing but I've got the thing toggled to fire the entire turret instead of 1 barrel at a time. Very nice to spread shots around enemy ships Something I will say I've noticed and absolutely hate is that when switching between Primary/Secondary with the Alt Key if you have 2 shells it occasionally switches the shell [pain in the ass when switching during a reload because it resets reload when it swaps the shell] Not sure if it's just me thinking it is but if you have active repairs/extinguishing going on your reload is slower. Please Gaijin give us a way to protection analysis method for weapon range to give simulate the arc so I can get an idea of how my shells are hitting. Also increase the amount of research you get because trying to grind battleships especially from stock makes me want to J out irl

One thing you can do in both ground and naval is hold Alt to enable the mouse control and click the buttons on the bottom bar, I find it easier than pressing the numbers since I don't need to take the fingers out of the WASD position and also because I always end up overshooting the key and pressing the wrong one.

Actually the unrepearable breach thing also works on DDs. I recently started playing naval and my HMS Vega got hit by a japanese long lance torpedo, i got an unrepairable breach and almost capsized. What amazes me is that i actually didnt die from it

using ranging shots on a ship that has a high rate of fire on its mains will increase the chances of you giving the killing blow massively. USS Atlanta is a SL farmer because of it.

youd want to always shoot a little short when closing or at range. so your shell hits the water just before the ship so you really hit the ammo or engines and avoid the belt armor. 1st shot once lead is given should always be center mass so you have the highest chance of hitting and being able to adjust aim for second shot instead of guessing where to shoot. when closing with 6 inch guns or less aim atleast 200m short below 10km range. with larger guns you can still get away with 100m when closing or 100m over when the ship is going away from you. with battleships you sometimes got to hit it multiple times ( and german cruisers) to get trhough the fuel and armor protection. so that your first salvo hit but does no damage is normal. always put out fire instantly especially ammo fire. some ships can survive ammoracks and fires as they do go out unlike in ground. graf spee cant ammorack from an engine fire. when engaging your target you wana show all guns to maximize hit and damage chance while having the least ammount of ship showing to the enemy. the 'angling' will help you survive more shots while reducing the chance of critical damage and engine crew loss. only repair if guns, loading system or rangefinders/room are destroyed and stop once they are fixed. engines dont kill ships having a few less isnt to much of a deal unless you a destroyer. on destroyers always repair

I know pretty much everything on here, but hey, a useful guide to welcome people into Naval means more people to play with! To the Naval players to be...welcome! The game mode doesn't get much love aside from Gaijin just slapping on more vehicles with no care in the world but it can be fun if you want something that is comparably more chill than ground or air.
