Frank Tanana goes 7 shutout innings, but the bullpen can't hold on, and the Jays win 3-2. This is the second to last start of the regular season for Tanana and Key, who will meet again on the final day of the season.

Still think that the 1987 Blue Jays were the best team they have ever had...for sure the best team of the Exhibition Stadium era. It was a tough last week...Lee did fine in Fernandez's absence. You can't blame him for the second-last game of the year at Detroit. Whitt's injury in the Brewers series was problematic. The Jays should just have stuck with Moore for the final series. Even though it was a hard ending to accept, 1987, has always given me good memories.
