How did you instantly know where both the bastion and the ruined portal were

You can tell where bastions are when your enemies using f3 is atleast 40 to 35 enemies and just head that direction and the ruines portal was located at the beggining of the world you can see him looking for a enter and he spots the ruined before sporting the blacksmith
