Just got it yesterday! honestly been waiting years for purple stain the same as my first one back when, so everytime I look at it I smile, definitely going to skate it, Indy 159's, SJ triple og bearings and whatever wheels to suit the day, this things going everywhere!

The original one of this was my first pro board I’d ever got! I was probably 11-12, so that was 1987/88 I guess. Does that sound about right? I know it was around there no later then 88 though. But I was so proud of that board!! I loved the graphic really at that age that meant a lot. LOL. I learned so much on it to. My next board though was my first of many Natas boards! LOL. I remember seeing him skate and that sold me! Now at 45, I ride a Winkowski!!! On Indys with Slime Balls…,just like my first setup! I just can’t get away from Santa Cruz and NHS stuff….not in the last 35 years I guess. 😳😬😂👍👍👍

@@adz6539 I’m gonna pick this one up as a wall hanger I think. Not that I would t skate it, but I have boards right now I like. This board just makes me think of some of the best days of my childhood/pre teen years. I actually sold my mint condition Mullen freestyle board with Indy freestyle trucks and Rat Bone wheels! It never even touched cement! I got it thinking I’d get into freestyle and try it out. But nope, it sat there for decades until I found it packed away and I sold it for a good amount of money even! Those old boards can get you a lot especially when they look brand new! The wheels and trucks were Ben worth a lot! Apparently they’re not a real common thing. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Now if I could find a really nice original SMA Natas board, I would definitely be hanging that one up!!😊. I don’t even know how I got that Powell (Mullen) freestyle board! I just didn’t like Powell boards back then. I felt like that Bonite shit made the boards feel soggy, like waterlogged even. I didn’t like that Bonite at all! And as I said, Santa Cruz boards were everything to me! My first demo I went to was Jeff Kendall and Corey O’Brien and I just always stayed loyal to that brand for some reason. LOL

@@stop736 The Mullen should be in a museum and probably will be one day, if this deck "when" comes out in purple not pink stain I'll buy 3, 2 for skating and save the other one for later, I managed to get some NOS blue OJ 2's to complete the set up already. I wore a Corey O'Brien t shirt to work everyday for the last two weeks. I bought a Blacklight for skating because I couldn't even unwrap my Edminston, which I love, he did such a good job with that, but I can't bring myself to unwrap it either, it's too f'n AWESOME!, LOL.

Just got myself this exact setup but it's on pink slimeballs and has 1/4 black risers and black Santa Cruz rails, it's all built up with the shrink wrap still on. It will get used as a visual reminder of a great childhood (won't see tarmac) then sold one day when it's worth mega bucks. It's already worth around £300 as it is🤤

The most expensive deck i've seen sell on any online marketplace is, by far, the original Roskopp 4 Target graphic on wood grain with the square nose, deep concave and small kickers on the tail corners. I had a green one in 87 with Super Pro lll's and Cockroach Wheels, rails and skid pad..... and destroyed it. Santa Cruz have released different variations of the graphic and board shape but never the true original... the Thirty F*ckin Years model was closest and they sell for a high price but a lot less than originals. I've been searching for one for nearly 25 years and the last few that were collector quality sold for a stupid high price. If anyone from the Santa Cruz marketing team reads this i think you'll know what i'm getting at.

I grabbed this deck (pink into yellow) yesterday to cruise around with my son. Added the same truck set up. This board is sick! It will take some time for sure to get used to the deck shape/width after skating the new style for a good 20 years now. But man this takes me back to riding around the neighborhood back in the 80s! Such a smooth ride for cruising! My kid loves the graphics!
